For anyone teaching children about the gospel ! Here you go ! God Loves (Hold hands together outstretched in front of you.) God loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. Great news: God wants us to be part of His family and live with Him forever in heaven! We Sin (Move left hand outstretched to side. Right hand remains outstretched in front of you.) But we sin (“doing anything God doesn’t want us to do”). The punishment for sin is death (separation from God…broken relationship). Jesus Died (Stretch out both hands to the sides.) Jesus took our punishment for us by dying on the cross. It’s like your brother or sister taking a timeout or consequence for you. God Forgives (Move right hand back to be outstretched in front. Left hand remains outstretched to side.) Because Jesus died for us, our sins can be forgiven. The Bible calls this a gift (forgiveness and the opportunity to have a relationship with God). We Accept (Bring both hands together outstretched in front, as at the beginning.) Before a gift is ours, we must accept it. The Bible says we accept God’s gift by believing in our hearts that Jesus died for us and accepting His forgiveness for our sins. You can do this by praying and telling God you believe and you want His forgiveness. When they want to give their heart to the lord, Then do the abc (admit, believe. Confess) then have them repeat after you the prayer. 💕

What does the t + b mean? Turn and believe?

I still don’t get it and I’m 20 years old. What’s confusing me the most is, is Jesus, God Himself? Why do people say he is just the son? Like people say praise God! And I wanna rejoice too but Im like wouldn’t it be praise Jesus?

I like the method, but sometimes we build up a lot of churchy phrases and ideas and theological "gunk" that the Bible doesn't actually say, and I'm not sure what you mean by "repent/turn from your sins" and "make Jesus Lord of your life" with respect to how to receive eternal life. My Bible uses neither phrase when talking about how to receive eternal life. By "repent/turn from your sins", do you mean realizing you are a sinner and need Christ's righteousness instead of your own? Or do you mean you must do the work of stopping bad behaviours and living a good lifestyle to get it? To receive eternal life, you definitely have to repent of your unbelief, your reliance on some other way, some other "god", any reliance on your own works or your own righteousness and instead rely on the righteous work of Christ for us. But who of us can say we have "repented of" and stopped all our sins? Could even the apostle Paul in Romans 7 say that? It's not about anything we could boast in of ourselves, it's that Christ only gets the glory because of what *he* did. The same with "make Jesus Lord of your life", I don't think that ever is said in the Bible, and certainly not with respect to the way to receive eternal life. While yes, we have the idea of you doing the work of picking up your cross daily and following him to be a good *disciple* - but with respect to how to receive eternal life, that is a "free gift" (Romans 5) by grace, not of any works we do or commitment to be a good boy, or any righteousness we think we have (Romans 11:5-6, Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5-7, Galatians 3). It is purchased for us by Christ's giving of *his* life, his *sacrifice* of *himself* for sin, once for all (Hebrews 9, 10) and this is received by faith, that is, by believing and relying on that, not by *our sacrifice* of our lives. Even to the man that has no works; Romans 4: 1 What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? 2 For *if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God.* 3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham *believed* God, and *it was counted unto him for righteousness.* 4 Now *to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.* 5 But *to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.* 6 Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, *unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,* 7 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. 8 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin. Then sadly you have fallen for the five I's just like Satan. Salvation is not getting your sins forgiven, it's believing they already ARE! To be saved, you must first get "I" out of the way.
