In 1973 The Three Degrees (line up: Fayette Pinkney, Sheila Ferguson and Valerie Holiday) were signed to Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff's Philadelphia International Records. The first album they recorded for the label was simply called: 'The Three Degrees'. The first single of that album was: 'Dirty ol' man'. The song went to number one in The Netherlands as well as in Belgium: the first number one hit (and golden record) ever for The Three Degrees.
I edited the song quite a bit, using the Tom Moulton Mix). I managed to remove a few little flaws which appeared to be in the master. I speeded the song up a bit, I added a new beat and a new intro. To my (humble) opinion the song sounds fresh again.
For the video I used footage from the BBC TV show 1975. Since that was a live recording (The Three Degrees used and still use to sing live) and I used the studio recording for my edit, I did my best to synchronize the lipps as much as possible.
This video has been out before, but I discovered some flaws in the audio, so this is a 're-do'.
