In the early Seventies - before signing with Philadelphia International Records - The Three Degrees (line up: Fayette Pinkney (R.I.P.), Sheila Ferguson and Valerie Holiday), recorded 2 albums for Roulette Records. The albums were: 'Maybe' and 'So much love'. Both album got released on CD a couple of years ago by BBR .
I edited the song 'Ebb tide' (from the album 'So much love') a bit, since I always thought the song was too short.
4 minutes of pure vocal magic from the sublime trio of Valerie, Sheila and Fayette.. three voices moving effortlessly from pure velvet which becomes slinky silk then soulful stirrings with an ending of glorious harmony that pierces the hardest of hearts. One of the greatest ballads of The Three Degrees.
