In 1993 The Three Degrees (line up: Valerie Holiday, Helen Scott and Cynthia Garrison) were asked for a collaboration with Thomas Anders (Modern Talking) and his team to record a new version of 'When will I see you again'. Which they did. The collaboration with his team was continued for a new project: a full album by The Three Degrees. The album was called: 'Out of the past, into the future'. Unfortunately enough, due to internal problems at BMG, the album didn't get the promotion it deserved.
On the album some re-recorded classic Three Degrees songs and a couple of brand new songs. For the album The Three Degrees covered a song by Taka Boom (Chaka Khan's sister), called 'To hell with him'. That title wasn't considered to be appropriate for the group, so the title was changed into 'I'm thru with him'. I took that catchy disco song and edited it a bit to create a longer version.
Since there is no video footage of the Three Degrees performing this song, I used some photo's for the video.
