Hello Guys my name is Ben and this is BAD bikes and if you have a loose headset or your handlebars are bent or your chain keeps on falling off your bike this video is for you we will be covering what i think are the 3 most common bike repairs you have to do on your BMX.
If you have a loose headset, you will know it by the all to familiar sound it will make. Here's how to fix it:
Loosen the pinch bolts on either side of the head tube so that the bars and front tire can move freely of each other.
Tighten the top cover screw just a little bit, but not too much or you will crush the ball bearings.
Align the tire and tighten everything back up and the radioing sound should go away!
We all sometimes hit a jump and land the wrong way, thus bending our handlebars forward or backward. It can be quite annoying, but here is how to fix it:
First, take all the bolts off that clamp your bars to your stem.
Second, clean all the dirt and grime off everything.
Third, put some grease on your bolts, line your handlebars up straight, and tighten everything down really well.
If you have a loose chain it can be a real cink in your ride hear is how I fix it:
1) Loosen both sides of your back tire.
2) Pull back the tire and tighten the left side.
3) Adjust the tire if need be so that it is centered.
4) Tighten the drive or right side and you're done!
