I just bought 10 gallons of mineral gear oil from Napa for my 1965 Massey 65. Not sure if you have those around you but might be an idea. They did not have it in stock but had it in a day or so.
I have a to-35. Last year, the tractor sat unused. So this spring, I tuned it up, drained all the hydraulic oil and replaced with new. My hydraulics are still working, but my 3-point won't lift very much weight as it should, like my tiller. Any ideas?
I have a question my 3 point won't go up or down on my Oliver super 55 I just bought it and the guy said he drained out 2 1/2 gallons of 80w/90 gear fluid out of the transmission but I read on the internet that it takes 20 quarts in the transmission I checked the dipstick behind the seat on the right hand side on top of the 3 point it is full I was just wondering if the transmission is really low would it make the 3 point not work
I have an issue with my massey Ferguson . Whether hydraulic dipstick is it is pushing oil out the dipstick would you know why it's doing that, And I know of 1 hope 1 main line that is fracture broken would that cause it to pushed oil out
Have you looked at LM fluid??? It's a mineral oil used in Citroen hydraulic suspension steering and brakes. It is available on line or from dealers... Depending on where you are...
I called everyone in the city and they couldn’t get it. Online it seems like they use it quite a bit in Australia and some of the UK. But it seems to be hard to find in North America.. Thanks for watching
Hi Pete how's the oil working for you i have a Massey 85 that i'm having problems with the Hydraulics doing the same thing that you had with your MF 50 Have you had any problems since you used the heavier oil
My hydraulics work fine with the gear lube. I haven’t had any more problems. I would make sure it originally came with gear lube I wouldn’t want to put gear lube in a system designed for trans hydraulic . Hope it works for you. have a good one Man
