@@gloriamcclamma454 Larry wasn't a family friend; he was discovered by Moe and Ted Healy in Chicago when the boys were making an appearance at the Rainbow Gardens nightclub. Healy was so impressed with his act that he hired him on the spot (Larry's frizzy hair certainly helped). But it wasn't until 1932 when the boys split from Healy for the final time (after Shemp had left to go solo, and Curly joined up) that the boys adopted the name The Three Stooges. Nyuk, nyuk, nyuk!
I heard the Three Stooges actors actually had fist fights in the dressing room between filming because they got frustrated about how real those slaps eyepokes were!
As always excellent outstanding brilliant true comedy at its very best the howards and fine family would be proud and laughing no one close to the 3 stooges its slap happy hour god bless you knuckleheads keep the laughs coming you may be gone but not forgotten still going strong old is gold nearly died of laughter and slapstick much love and respect and appreciation you knuckleheads thanks for a good laugh and the memories very impressed !! One of my favorite things is when Larry always lines up behind Moe while he's getting ready to hammer something and he catches Larry with the back swing.

All that violence yet we all knew it was just a joke. Now a days they take even a little bit of humour and turn it into a big deal. I think we all turned out ok but the new crowd these days not so much.
