The German Tiger heavy tank is infamous for being a tough vehicle, especially in War Thunder. So what if you it and made it even beefier? The Panzerbefehlswagen VI P (Pz.Bef.Wg.VI P) is a modified version of Ferdinand Porsche's heavy tank design. It has an electric transmission and double the frontal armor of its tech tree counterpart. It used to be a higher battle rating but Gaijin lowered it to 5.7. It's a fun tank, but working with less-than-stellar teammates can be frustrating.

@@YouSietse Porsche didn't decide anything, he got a full contract from the Waffenamt for a 101 vehicles which matches perfectly with 1 prototype, 10 troop training vehicles and then enough vehicles to equip 2 heav tank battalions of 45 each.

Great take. Bushes are P2W. You can cover up a tank and completely break up its silhouette so that the enemies don’t even know what they’re shooting at. That’s clearly an advantage.

Exactly, and if you're part of the old guard when bushes were released. You could get a 12 pack of large and small bushes, 6 each. It's crazy now how they broke it up so you can only have 1 of each with the new bushes.

the last time i played 5.7 germany, i got 15 kills, i was the only german on a russian, italian, swedish team, it was so nice, my flanks were covered, AA did its job, and people scouted and called out positions

The last time I played 5.7 Italy, I got 3 assists because my only teammates are German. This match was an absolute blowout BTW, my next match was against the Germans and my team then got ROFLStomped by said German team.

Lmao, helping teammates is never gonna cover SL repair cost, the only way to do that is to get like 4 kills and not die or get 2 caps by yourself because gaijin are masters at discouraging teamwork, the German tanks are specially shit for getting kills from up close, so you get entire teams of people who don't want to pay repairs and stay sniping out of spawn because most maps are urban as fuck.

@Haxler that's a skill issue you can get those kills by killing ennemies focusing teammates and if you know the strength of your tank things are easier there are so many tiger players for example who don't know the concept of angling the armor

Because teammates don't grasp the concept of maneuver warefare and outflanking your enemies happen to me on Seversk yesterday I was the only one trying to flank got 4 kills untill the enemy team outnumbered me it was me against 4 other tanks and my dumb teammates just sit back and watch me die typical

Yeah, while grinding the Sturmtiger event, I went down to 5.3-5.7 Germany because I thought it would be fun. It was not fun. German teams at that BR are so egregiously smoothbrained, you’d think they were bred in a laboratory to find out how stupid humans can get before they choke on their own spit.

@@BoarhideGaming I think its fun, plenty of meat shields to drive around obliviously while you're just farming people who think you're just another braindead german player. People will call you a hacker if you're even slightly above average. Besides that jape, I regularly play germany 6.7 and I rarely have a problem with dumb teammates. Maybe they all get sent to my games and there just aren't any more left for you xd I've been keeping a steady 57% winrate for over a year now playing mostly germany 6.7

This just might be my favorite tank. The 280g TNT equivalent filler APHE is glorious and unlike the regular Tiger you can actually rely on the armor more than not. You can even peek a corner at a slight angle just enough to get the barrel clear while still hiding the weak cheek.

This is by far my favourite German heavy tank, makes me feel like I'm in my IS-1 having such a weird armor scheme and good reverse speed, I laugh every time someone shoots off my barrel and I reverse out of sight immediately with the enemy just looking confused

I'd be glad to see Obj 268. I've tried it not long ago and the thing turned out to be really fun when not uptiered. Its surprisingly extremely tanky in 6.7 battles, and high velocity 152mm cannon using APHE is just obliterating everything. Plus, for its size and amount of armor its not as slow as you would expect it to be

Its really great on squadron battle too (at B.R 6.7). Tiger II (H) will struggle to kill you, the only thing that can pen you from the front is some light tank with HEAT-FS or APDS. Pople rarely use light tank in squadron battle because it's very risky, once you get spotted by an enemy, then you will be strafed by their plane.

Remember. You can angle that tank if you use the corners of buildings or tanks that have been destroyed to cover that weak spot. It eliminates your other wake spot and basically makes your tank immortal forcing them to have to shoot for your cupola

If you evet want to suffer just a bit more than usual id recommend the Swingfire. Its got it all, ATGMs that launch at a weird angle, long reload times, not .50 cal proof, its the penultimate ATGM carrier for masochists

The real story it actually didn't caught on fire. The engine just fails constantly against the Hershel tiger design cause the Porsche engine had water inside it during testing on a rainy day. So it was easily seen which tiger would be chosen into production

Reminds me of when I was working through the Russian tech tree and I was in a t34 and there was 4 Porsche Tigers wiping out the team and slowly advancing on our teams spawn They were so cool I wish I had the footage of the battle watching them just slowly and seemingly calmly watching each other’s backs and crushing the opposition Awe inspiring sadly I’ve never been able to find them on my team or face them again in battle Thanks Spookston for the trip down memory lane 😊 Oh and maybe you’ve done so already but have you used the German M47? It’s price is ludicrous but I got a test drive for it once quite a while ago and it was somewhat fun to play

Fun fact: Many people claim that Engine Fires were caused by the diesel-electric engine, but the reality is that the electric part is actually working finely. It were the mechanical parts that are oil-thirsty and due to insufficient oil, make the engine too hot and causes fires. Despite Porsche's good design (actually much better than Tiger 1), the flaw in the armor production, the slow traverse of the tank, the most importantly the lack of copper for the electrical components forced the army to make the less expensive Tiger 1 we know today. Also the Porsche engine production is abysmal and there won't be enough engine production even with sufficient resources due to how complex it was for the time

As an Italian player Being placed on an American team feels so strange, cause then you get a 15 kill game without even trying, and you look down and realize you haven’t even been shot Vs Playing with a German team, getting into a knife fight, and being overwhelmed after 2 or 3 kills and looking at the map to find that your team no longer exists Then, you respawn, and get camped immediately There should be 5 map types 1. Tiny For reserve - 3.3 1.5km x 1.5 2. Small for 2.7 - 5.7 2km x 2km 3. Medium for 5.0 - 7.7 3km x 3 4. Massive For 7.0 - 11.7 5km x 5 5. Dynamic, which is a 2km x 4km map that changes your spawn by BR bracket, and is only available at 4.0+ Idk Maybe a good video idea spook?
