I am not aware of anybody that managed to get a regular season MVP, NBA Finals MVP and a Sixth Man of the Year awards that isn’t in the Hall of Fame. Yeah, Bill Walton had an injury plagued career, but when he was healthy he actually accomplished somethings on the court. Unfortunately for Rasheed there were too many times that he sacrificed his personal stats for the team’s overall success. Had Portland beat the Lakers back in 2000 it was pretty likely that the Blazers would have won the title that year and very likely Rasheed would have received the NBA Finals MVP too. Or if Rasheed had put up similar numbers playing the Lakers or the New York Knicks, then he would have made more All-Star teams and gotten more accolades. Yeah, the media didn’t give Rasheed a fair shake and it is the same sport journalists that gets to decide which players go to the Hall of Fame.

Walton is one of the most overrated players of all time. He was a good player, but he did not play at a high level for an extended period of time. Too fragile. Rasheed won a chip and played at a high level for a longer period of time than Walton did. Not sure what you are basing your assessment off of??

Walton is the most over rated NBA player by far. Not even close. He was hurt most of his career. Most of his success was at UCLA in college and 1 decent season in Portland when they won the title, the rest of his career was trash

Rasheed had a way better NBA career than Walton. Walton was hurt more than Antony Davis and only has rings because the Trailblazers and Bird's Celtics carried him...He wasn't the reason they won titles

@truthiscensored Walton was dominating the league in 77. He was healthy that year, and unstoppable, on the way to the title. And the Blazers of 78 were on their way to goat status, when Walton got hurt....!

He is also the reason they lost the 2005 Championship to the Spurs He got worked by Tim Duncan for 21-15 a game while he averaged 10 and 5 in the finals. Same way he got worked by Pau Gasol and Bum Andrew Bynum in the 2010 finals. Only reason he has a chip is because of Chauncey and Karl Malone getting hurt. Or he would have gotten dogged in that series too.
