The Troy Trojans travelled Louisiana to face the #25th ranked LSU Tigers on homecoming. Troy would have a strong first half, including a last second field goal heading into the locker room. Late in the fourth quarter the Tigers would have one last chance. A pass by QB Danny Etling would be intercepted by Blace Brown of the Trojans to secure the victory 24-21.

Me and my dad still laugh at this it was LSUs homecoming game and they paid Troy an ungodly amount of money to come play them and Troy won

I was at this game. Kept telling my girlfriend “Chill..Chill…we got this. It’s still early no way they lose this game”. After sitting there pissed off the entire game, I said fuck this let’s go after Troy got in the red zone with 6 minutes to go. As we were all walking to our cars, all of us non loyal s kept hearing the crowd roar. We all were looking around and basically saying we were all dumbasses for leaving. A group of about 20 of us walking to the parking lot stopped and we’re all watching the game on someone’s phone. We had never been so happy at that point to see the LSU comeback fail! I’ll never forget it was the weirdest thing ever because when Danny threw that pick in the final seconds we all roared “YEAAAAAHHH!!!” Stopped for a second looked at each other and started busting out in laughter😂😂😂😂😂

I turn green every time I think of this game. This was a result in terrible coaching!!!!!! LSU never should’ve lost but anything‘s possible, Troy saw a weakness and they exposed it. And I have to give them credit👍🏻

Strangely enough, there are two players from this team still on the LSU roster. Also, I had completely forgotten Brennan played in his freshman year and then didn't play any meaningful games until 3 years later. He probably weighed like 190 or less in this game. Also, that FG at the end of the half would have never happened without the review. No way they get down there and spike the ball in that short of time. LSU was also missing Guice for this game.
