Lol at the dealer I used to work at, there was a rule. We would have to give a 3 second warning any time the bead blaster came out. You'd be doing truck tires and you'd start filling the blaster and people already knew what was coming. 'HEADS UP, NOISE!' You'd look around and everyone would have hands over ears bracing for it like artillery men 😂
@@MTF.TAU5..Bob. it's actually quite simple, a bead blaster is basically an air tank with a very high pressure inside with a valve and a nozzle. You point the nozzle inside the unseated tire and open the valve which forces the air into the tire pushing the sidewalls of the tire out and seating it onto the rim. From there the tire is able to have it's pressure adjusted and installed on the vehicle
If u have a tyre that won’t bead up with the blaster, I use a rachet strap around the tread and keep pulling it down till it’s close then bead blast it. Be quick to remove the rachet strap.
What I do in that situation is put a tube in then blow up tyre until its on both beads . Once it's on both beads break the front bead and take the tube out replace the valve and then go from there it works everytime that the bead blaster doesn't work . I wish I had one of those back in the day. We used to change tire in the backyard. If we couldn't get it to hold air. We would put a ratchet strap around it and squeeze it until it would seal. It was fun
We used to wrap a rope around them and put a stick in it and wind it up to squeeze the tire so the beads would come out. Much nicer using an air blaster.
What about a 205/65/15 on a 9 inch wide wheel? I filled the gap with a bicycle tube and soap(mounting compound). If the tube is greasy enough it pops right out of the way. Have got it trapped and had to dismount one side. But the bead was already on the other side, so it was easy. Well as easy as a 205 on a 9 wide gets anyway
I worked at a wholesale store the tire bay and we had a customer bringing tires that fell in like that and asked me to put them on some 15x10 inch rims and they were watching because I already got yelled at for using fire to set beads so I used some tire patch glue and glue the lower bead to the rim and that way I can pull up on it so I can get the top to catch was a pain in the ass. I wish I had one of those blasters
@@MoBCommunity no I think it's the right size tire if you look a little harder the beat is over the room it's it's come over and it's being pulled tight or where it's sitting
Damn, I've strapped more than I remember of those 😢 But my boss was cheap and the blaster was old 20 years ago! So I I had to rely on straps to get things like this done. All the wasted time... 😅
Air tank, when you open the valve you are basically releasing all the pressure at once. Its directed with that little fish tail on the end of the barrell.
