If there were a 19th food I would say to eat a carrot and or sweet potato daily to ensure proper carotenoid and vitamin A levels in the blood which has also been linked to a reduction in cancer risk. Yes you get beta carotene from leafy greens but it’s hard to get enough through leafy greens alone. Most aren’t going to consume enough greens to meet beta carotene needs. And our species evolved on sweet potatoes so it’s something our body is expecting to have. See Harvard researcher Richard Wrangham’s book “How Cooking Made us Human”.. It was sweet potatoes that humans were cooking. Do what I do and boil your sweet potatoes in filtered water and than use the sweet potato water to make an incredibly healthy tea! Incredible microbial advantages!! Organic sweet potatoes of course. Sweet potato water green tea is far superior to just plain filtered water green tea. And boiling sweet potatoes is the healthiest way to consume sweet potatoes so there really isn’t any other choice. The water protects the nutrients and the nutrients that drop in the water are consumed in the tea!

Stage 2B 1-2-19, ER+98%&PR+80%, HER2- Grade 1 slow growing so I'd probably had it for 3-5 yrs based on my Research mine was 22 mm tumor & 1.5 auxiliary lymph node was also positive. I oddly started craving garlic stuffed green olives daily in January after my dx before reading all the book's like Dr Funk, Chris Beat Cancer, Radical Remission, Eat to Beat Disease and SOOOO MANY MORE that I discovered how potent of a healer garlic is against cancers! To this day I still eat 5-6 garlic & jalapeño stuffed green olives every morning!!! I eat alot of these other veggie's mentioned as well and lots of different fruits. I did change to a vegetarian diet in 2019 but now I do eat meats and organic cheese/dairy a few time's a week so I consider Myself a Mostly plant based eater. There's ALOT more to change like Mindset, Reduce Stress, Exercise and Prayer/Meditation. It's a TOTAL Lifestyle change is what I tell people but you have to want to do it and Stop eating the Poisonous Processed foods and Processed meat and Fast foods that is a BIG PROBLEM in America is the FAST FOOD & Obesity! 4yr breast cancer Thriver😘🥰 Beverly (NOT Danmy hubby)

I was diagnosed with stage 1 breast cancer at 33 in 2021. My obgyn saved my life! I got a pap smear and a breast routine… there was a lump. I would suggest getting a yearly routine as early in your 20s to rule out any risk of breast cancer. Don’t wait until your 40 or 50!

I have said no to tamoxifen (awful side effects) for my weakly er+, early stage breast cancer (NED now), and have added cabbage, power greens and edamame to my daily intake, and berries and 2T ground flax to my organic soy milk smoothie. Hope that offers me some extra benefits to prevent recurrence. Her2+ so I had Taxol (12 weeks) and Herceptin for a year. 1 month to go. Eating lots of plants helped me through it all! Great video❤️

That’s wonderful that you have made all of these shifts.. have you heard of the book Radical Remission, if you haven’t it’s an amazing compilation of people from all over the world who have gone into remission and what the Dr studying them found, she has the 3 main pillars of health. Truly beautiful stories, many of them were late stage cancers.

Breathe of fresh air! As a breast cancer survivor of over 20 years, it's painful to listen to respected lifestyle MDs' recommendations to avoid mammograms as a screening tool. Way back when, I was concerned about the radiation (and still am) but it was a screening mamo that caught my tumor at stage 1 when I was 47 yrs old. Because I was diagnosed early, my treatment was less intense and my prognosis was much better than if I had put off mammogram screening. Of course I practice prevention with diet and exercise as a first line defense, but continue to get mammograms. By the way, the diet that helps protect against breast cancer helps protect against radiation toxicity as well.

I appreciate all of the great info! I almost gave up soy milk to replace it with oat milk but Dr. Funk's info has convinced me to keep drinking soy milk. I'm reducing my plastic so DIY milk was part of that so I'll just make soy milk (although it takes a little longer than oat milk). On another note, I had to skip the part where she went into the details of the mice study since that is just too disturbing for me to hear. I feel the same way as most people would feel if she was talking about a dog research study. Let's support more human and less animal research.

The message I got from watching this video is that a whole food plant based diet does not prevent cancer, it just makes it less aggressive. It is my belief that dairy causes breast cancer. How can we turn away from the cruelty of the dairy industry, mechanical rape of female cows to impregnate them and then take their calves away from them when they are so incredibly maternal and demonstrate love and affection for their calves as any devoted human mother does for her own infant. How can we as women expect there not to be consequence in our own breasts? I whole heartedly believe that all this breast cancer is a manifestation of the cruelty we inflict by turning away from the suffering of mother cows. We are drinking from the breasts of cows and treating them as horrific as any serial killer would it’s victim. We are contributing to unspeakable pain and the energy is transferred directly into our body. Women are the ones to make a stand against these kinds of wrong actions in the world.

I have digestive problems as well, try having like a tofu scramble but no starch or carbs with it (like bread or even complex carbs) i.e. food combining. The idea is to let the soy digest only with veggies (and no fruit for a few hours). Also you could try beano before you eat the soy dish. It works for me.

When I switched to a raw diet years ago (not raw now) and quit the isolated soy protein I had been eating numerous times a day, I suddenly started getting periods. The concentrated soy did seem to mess up my hormones. I was overdoing it. Regarding sulforaphane, I'm addicted to broccoli sprouts and grow my own!

I think that Dr. McDougall is not for mammograms. Over 20 years ago, my doctor's nurse called me and said that I hadn't had a mammogram and I was due because of my age and I said that I didn't want to get one because mammograms cause the cancer that they are trying to detect. And she said, "That's true, but they will only cause a cancer that will appear 20 years from now" !!! I said, "I count on living longer than 20 years and be cancer-free." And so I have never had a mammogram, a colonoscopy, and I stopped pap tests 34 years ago.
