I disagree calling Enel not creative, IMO he's one of the most creative fruit users we've seen. Firstly, I dont know many other characters who found a way to combine a secondary effect of their fruit with haki in the way that he did. Secondly, his spur-of-the-moment decisions made in situations we have to assume he's never encountered before (his heart being stopped, finding someone who's immune to lightning etc) prompted really quick and imaginative solutions. Meets a rubberman for the first time and learns electricity wont work? Instantly creates a pointy weapon one of gold to fight them, and superheats it to hurt him even more. I think we can safely assume this was a new problem Enel never had to face before, and certainly wouldn't have considered in advance, so this was a really quick and creative response

I think Enel gets too much hate. He didn't even have the concept of Rubber, so it was unfair to score him low. And using observation haki with electrical waves to listen to everything is the Island is the smartest and Creative thing I've seen in One Piece.

Morgans might actually be smarter than we think, keeping a permanent hybrid form means absolutely noone really knows what he looks like as a human. He's got a perfect disguise.

Magellan is an absolute worst case scenario for most anyone to fight. Luckily, you most likely won’t have to fight him because he’s probably taking a horrible toxic dump at the moment.

I still hold that the Kilo-kilo is wildly underestimated. Imagine if someone like Sanji could increase his weight 125x right before impact, not to mention any power boost from potentially moving faster by decreasing their own weight to 1kg before moving toward the enemy (something the Ton-Ton cannot do). If they can move twice as fast, Sanji's kick would now be 500x its original force, and it keeps ramping depending on the actual speed boost (up to potentially 800,000x power, if you could move 80x as fast by reducing your weight from 80kg to 1kg).

I feel like saying enel is intelligent but not creative is downplaying his feats. To me, it takes some pretty strong creativity to find ways to combine your fruit with haki, surround yourself with materials that synergize well with your fruit, and delve into more obscure powers of the fruit like electromagnetism to mold metal. The way he fought also demonstrated his creativity when he made heat of the moment counters to Luffy’s abilities. For example, when he found that both lightning and blunt attacks weren’t effective, he melded his pole into a sharp weapon. When Luffy dodged or redirected this weapon, he used electricity to heat it and burn Luffy. When Luffy demonstrated his endurance, Enel decided it would be easier to meld gold around his hand and simply get rid of him.

I reckon Magellan would boost his score dramatically if he was eating poison to build up an immunity to someone else trying to poison him. Instead, he’s already immune and just gives himself the runs for 10 hours a day

Enel is easily ranked at Vice admiral or even Admiral. His power is OP.

Orochi is pretty much a definition of being unfit to the position he's holding: wasted devil fruit, too much reliance of an emperor, thinking too big of himself and completely blinded by revenge. That was also his downfall yet I'm sure he'll be back sometime soon.

Honestly, I think you did Kelly Funk dirty. Man managed to find a way to get some use out of quite possibly the most worthless devil fruit in the entire franchise. Including non-canon fruits. That deserves some respect.

I feel there should be a fifth catagory talking about overcoming the limitations or weaknesses of the fruit. Like the barrier guy can only make one barrier but his creativity of making stairs for Robin was good. The reason I feel overcoming the limitations or weaknesses of the fruit is important because it shows how the user managed to get the most out of there fruit, yes you can say it goes into mastery but I feel it doesn't. For example would be the candle guy, he has some mastery with his fruit but with heat being a weakness he has to overcome it if that makes sense

I mean for Kinemon, Oda has literally just made Luffy discover he’s been using a different fruit from what he thought it was the whole time, clearly the whole ‘You know the fruits name as soon as you eat it’ thing doesn’t work like advertised.

I disagree with the weight manipulation fruits being bad by themselves, with a bit of creativity and looking at what other DF-users were capable of doing they could be terrifying. It could allow you to basically throw megaton punches and kicks or be incredible fast and nimble. Since the user's form or material doesn't change it also seems to manipulate density somehow, so if physics work you could become super-dense to shrug off damage (and perhaps even reflect it since the density could harden their body) or become so light-weight that any punch simply makes you float away like no damage was done (like punching a balloon). A truly extreme use of that could even be to allow for intangibility by setting your density to basically 0. If it isn't density that is manipulated it could be gravity itself, which would have a ton of uses as well. Awakened, being able to manipulate the weight of other objects, could make this almost overpowered and would have a million and one uses. This DF could sink entire fleets by making the ships to heavy too float, it could bring down a fortress by making the support structure buckle on its own weight, if momentum is kept they could shoot a bullet with the impact of a cannon shell, it could make a swordman's sword too heavy too lift, it could make someone's clothes crush them, perhaps it could even make the air heavy enough to squash someone... and then there is even the possibility of affecting non-tangible things, like what if you have any doubts or guilt in your heart and this DF could increase its "weight" in your mind? The feeling of guilt over something becoming so heavy to bear that it forced you to your knees? These fruits could be insane with some creativity and a good user and none of what I've mentioned is impossible as we have seen similar feats and "transformative uses" in One Piece already. (just look at Luffy, Law or Kuma)

Here's a little theory about how Morgan uses his devilfruit We only ever see him during his work running a newspaper or when he's at high class events such as Sanji's wedding. So what if his primary purpose for the fruit is to not be recognized during his free time? Or even more sinister what if he has a shady business in his true form that he can not risk being associated with the newspaper since that'd make him and his employees at the paper easy targets for enemies he's made trough his shady business.

Actually, Kinemon knows the name of his "jutsu" he just doesn't know that he gained that ability through a fruit

I think Morgans deserves a bit more credit in the creativity and usage department. He uses his zoan hybrid form as a disguise, which is something I think we've only ever seen Chopper do. We still haven't seen his real face, so you could walk past him on the street and not even recognize him, which is a creative way to use a Zoan fruit (which are primarily just good for combat) to help his lifestyle as a news mogul.

I feel like enel lost to luffy since his combat beforehand was just one shotting people, its like going into minecraft pvp after playing pve for years it just aint happening

I think the kilo and Ton fruits could actually be really useful. For example imagine a fighter that is as fast as Brook and that hits as hard as Franky. Make your hand heavy mid-swing and a sword could cut thought most things without having to have the mastery of Zoro. Also, while it could be that in order to affect the weight of other things could be an Awakened only ability, there is also the possibility that the characters simply don't use their power in this way. If you can imagine an Ochaco that can also make things heavy, then you might understand how terrifying an ability like that could be.

I feel like the kilo-kilo no mi or the ton-ton no mi could be super useful. Imagine if you could direct a ten ton punch into someone’s face.

Imagine having a devil fruit with almost endless possibilities and then NOT using it well. What a nerd.

I see what you’re saying with Megellan harming himself by eating poison and effectively shooting himself in the foot. But I strongly disagree, as that doesn’t impact how good of a user he is.

Considering Magellan is pretty strong and still made the list.. what are anyone's thoughts on Eustass Kid? He's pretty powerful within his own right but given the fact that we know the full capabilities of magnetism with characters like Magneto, it really puts into perspective how little Kid actually uses his abilities.

We haven't seen it, but the funk brothers talked about it, he can put himself over wild beasts, considering there are gigantic beasts (land or water, would he be able to swim as being put over a seaking? he takes over the body-abilities of his victims, maybe there's a loop hole? since the fruit can still be used underwater, but not the function of the user to swim themselves.), this could potentially be a pretty devastating fruit to deal with. But there's also the fact that he himself is not very bright or powerful by himself, other contestants in the arena said he is a terrible boxer, & only in combination with his brother (or some other individual, maybe even an emperor??) or some wild beast he can be quite a powerful being, so I kinda agree with him being on the list^^'

I think the jacket guy isn't actually too bad of a "user". But that's only by virtue of him and his brother basically having optimal circumstances for the fruit. Like, could you imagine if Kaido had eaten the Jacket fruit??? Any other person that he took over would just be a downgrade for him. Or hell, basically any other strong character (Zoro, Weevil, Oden) would be a massive waste. They're already strong. But what about a physically weak character? What if Usopp ate it? He could take over one of his strong crewmembers body and gain their strength. Even then, it would still be pretty bad since he isn't a strong frontline fighter. So you take: Physically weak but mentally ruthless fruit eater + physically strong but mentally weak host = optimal usage of fruit (still not very strong, but still, much better than other circumstances). The fruit is still absolute garbage, definitely the worst devil fruit.

I feel like with the Kilo Kilo fruit, there are probably more ways to use it besides dropping at 10k kilos to crush people. Maybe you could put the weight behind a punch so it hits harder, or maybe somehow use the 1 kilo weight to make yourself faster. Maybe the awakening can apply that weight to people and objects so you could suplex people into the ground or make capturing them easier. But i feel like if i on the spot had to think of how to use it after eating it, i probably wouldn't think of anything besides being able to jump really high and float with the wind before slamming to the ground really fast. But I do agree that mach vice is just....like come on man, you're apart of a warlords crew, one that most of the other members are really strong or very clever with how they use their abilities, and you just use it to do the same thing we saw back in Alabastia? Atleast if he was awakened or was able to apply the weight to other objects then it'd probably be forgivable, but at this point you're just not being original and i'm questioning why Doflamingo thinks of him so highly that he's apart of one of the main 3 ( i think it was only 3) groups As for the heal heal fruit, i feel like it could potentially have the ability to become the thing Chopper is looking for. A medicine that can cure anything no matter how severe, heck maybe it could even regenerate lost appendages if you train with it (I think mansherry used it to heal law at one point so maybe if it's paired with laws fruit it could be really good). I also find it crazy that by sacrificing your lifespan, you can just fix inanimate objects and that is really useful in an anime where lifespans don't matter and are just used as a way to stress how dire of a situation something is or to make the stakes higher. I also feel like the fact she was able to spread the healing around (atleast that's what it looked like to me) in big areas is pretty useful as well. I think the only real thing i could put against it is it seems like a thing better suited for a doctor or nurse, but i really cant hold Mansherry for not using the fruit better/in more creative ways since we really don't know how long ago she ate the fruit, we just know that Doflamingo kidnapped her to heal his forces and to fix the factory when it got destroyed. In a way it kind of reminded me of how Shirahoshi uses her powers since mansherry seemed to cry alot whenever she used her powers (atleast i only can seem to remember her crying when she used it) so maybe given time she'll improve with it

Makes sense that Enel didn't make the list, he's actually pretty good at using his Devil Fruit. It's just that apart from using his powers he's pretty unimpressive.

Here's a thought: what if Alvida was hit by a sickle or Killers punishers, in a location like under her arm? It couldn't slide off because its caught in the center of the blade, and it couldn't slide over or under because her arm/ hips are in the way. Would it just act like a bludgeoning weapon...?

There are some ommissions I want to share: Califa and her misused soap devil fruit which could be overpowered in the right hands. Hina and her criminally underused cage-cage fruit which equals Doflamingo's fruit.

I think enel was creative, read electrical waves to observe the whole island, travelled through metal, used electromagnetism to reshape metal, he was faced with his hard counter in the form of luffy (didn’t even know rubber existed) and was still able to come up with some pretty effective strategies in the blink of an eye

The weight fruits could be amazing if they are able to master it to make certain parts and not just the whole body’s weight increase. Imagine A fighter throwing some 1ton fast as lightning haki infused kicks and punches. Use the weight to help you block big attacks from strong opponents.

Number 7 has great potential, adding weight at the point of impact when punching or kicking would be insane combined with arnamental haki, for example if sanji had the fruit he would perfect using it and add dumb amounts of weight to his kicks, making him many times stronger

I nominate Kalifa of CP-9 for this list. She has the ability to conjure soap. Strictly speaking, it is a special paramecia (much like the bis bis no mi or the mochi mochi no mi). And what does she make with it? A soap sheep, and she gets beaten my Nami. It's a devil fruit of unbelievable potential and its wasted on her.

I always thought that the 'know the name of the fruit after you eat it' thing was more because the powers of the fruit revealed it's name, not that the name was supernaturally beamed into your brain.

Well twitch a devil fruit that can change your weight you can actually be a good sword fighter that is light when swinging your swords and heavy when they land so you have both speed and power. I believe Zoro would use it to great effect so would Sanji in fact. This fruit along with it’s upgraded form proves to be one of the best in close range combat if it has a great user but well we haven’t seen it have a great user.

I'm not sure if the abilities of Miss Valentine/Machvise are that terrible or if they just haven't mastered them well enough, since all they ever do is go up very high and then go down very fast. If it was possible to modulate their abilities in different bodyparts in split seconds (sort of like Mirio from MHA), they could move incredibly fast and in unpredictable ways due to low weight in one second and then hit incredibly hard, by putting all 10.000kg of their weight into the body part that they're hitting you with in the moment of impact. I could see that ability performing pretty well in the hands of a skilled fighter.

So usually I really agree with these lists, I couldn’t get over foxy’s low score on usage. Looking at the scope of how you defined how usage would be scored (based on how it helps them in what they do) foxy uses it fantastic, until he is defeated by Luffy. He’s a pirate that cheats at games to get loot from other pirates for he doesn’t have to get it himself. And by using his devil fruit to make an almost guaranteed win condition for him, he shows great usage.

Ceasar could be invincible, he literally took away the oxygen from the air and beat luffy, law, smoker and the strawhats at the same time. Thinking of the potential he has, I think he´s definitely one of the worst DF users.

I whole heartedly disagree with Bellamy being on this list, at least as high as he is. Post timeskip his mastery, creativity, and intelligence are all WAY higher. His death knock technique of increasing his coil’s tension for more power when he releases is about as creative as you can get with springs, he utilizes them very effectively in enhancing his reach and flexibility. I wouldn’t put him on the list at all, let alone below the likes of Buffalo.

I think the weight fruits are better than you give them credit for, and their users even worse. Force is contributed to by weight and velocity, so they should theoretically be able to hit harder just by increasing their weight, as well as be able to anchor themselves in place when being struck and use their far superior weight to give whoever is hitting them the brunt of the force in the blow (we know that the increased weight makes them more durable as well, seeing as they both regularly take the brunt force of smashing their incredible weight into the ground with barely any injury at all). Not to mention the fact that if one were to build up speed and leap while their weight is increased, then reduce their weight, conservation of energy dictates that their velocity would have to increase proportionally to how much their weight is decreased by. For reference, if the kiro kiro fruit user were to be moving at 1m/s at 10,000kg, then suddenly reduced their weight to 1kg, their velocity would increase to 10,000m/s, allowing them to travel the entire circumference of the earth in under a little over 4 seconds (not accounting for air resistance). Heat from friction alone would almost certainly kill them in that extreme case, but if they can put their weight anywhere on the range of 1-10,000kg that shouldnt be much of a problem as they can simply not go all the way. I should mention that this is assuming that the devil fruit functions by changing the mass of the user rather than changes how gravity effects them, which is unclear as weight would change with either. If it does in fact function by changing how they are affected by gravity then that opens a whole new world of possibilities that I don't even know how to start on. Then again, the One Piece universe ignores basic laws of physics quite often, so maybe these things just wouldn't work in universe even if the users had the knowledge to understand how it should work.
