@@samthibert6527the US goaltending wipes the floor with the Canadian options. Yes, Canada is stronger overall, but it isn’t by much. The forwards are pretty comparable
Patrick Kane got drafted my hometown Chicago Blackhawks when I was 15, I remember the booth saying this is probably the best American player since Mike Modano. I knew very little about him other than he was some stud playing juniors in Canada but I wasn’t up to speed on very much of that stuff and it’s not like there was a lot of places to watch clips of anything that I was aware of back then. Seeing how many good Americans are in the game now makes me so happy because of how much hockey has grown. It can give you so much. Now saying that he’s not even 5 Americans playing currently makes me so happy, and seeing that he might be on the fringes of top 10 Americans makes me even happier. The fabric is growing stronger. I’m absolutely pumped to see where it’ll be in the next 10 years.
in my personal (very biased) opinion the list is: 1. adam fox 2. chris kreider 3. jacob trouba 4. k’andre miller 5. vincent trocheck honorable mentions: jimmy vesey, patrick kane, tyler motte, and jonathan quick
The fact that anyone questions let alone puts him over matthews is insane? He had an injured year and still put up 40 goals and almost 90 points. And he also scored at a higher pace lat year than connor McDavid did this year. Maybe tkatchuck is more gritty, bit matthews is a beast and ome of the more underrated players in the league by now
@@sherylmartin7059 there was no lack of scoring in the playoffs, just because he doesn't put up 3 points a game like McDavid, he's not a beast? No, Matthews is better defensively, and tkachuck never even scored a goal in the leafs series.
@@zalapski9399 I love tkachuck as much as the next person, I traded Matthews for him in my fantasy keeper league but in real life? Matthews everyday of the week
I am a pens fan but seriously, he had like 70 points this season, and his career high is only like 84. Robertson - 109 Hughes - 99 Fox - 74 as a defenseman Mathews - 106 Tkachuk - 109 Don't you see
