I’m actually gonna pull for Aranea and Astos. I’m gauging that I should have the gems to pity Astos and still be good for Aranea. If some stroke of luck happens and I get her BT from the tickets, I MIGHT go back for beatrix
90% of people pulling are only pulling cause of his numbers. I choose not to pull based on that plus there other I just want more but gl to you if u pull
@aloefantasy still found him to be pretty useful in clearing 200 difficulty quests with his BT but I guess until he gets his FR board he will not be that powerful I just thought with the extra attack he gets from Soul Burst would put his DPS up there
I think maybe a lot of people overlook Sephiroth because he's been either bad or just mediocre for so long, that the bar for expectations is pretty low. Thanks to this video though, I'm taking Aranea more seriously and probably will pull.
Thank you for emphasizing Sephiroth! I’m sitting here wondering why so many people are sleeping on him. Also, you can pair him with Dorgann and Rem for some absolute nonsense - that EX? Up every time it’s his turn with Rem. Need Sephiroth to take another turn? Pull him forward with Dorgan or Rem. Talk about dis pear bruh
I love how an FR and one tweak on her BT was enough to put Lightning back in her top spot. She got zero upgrades to S1/S2/and the LD is mid lol. Sephiroth BT was the first BT I tokened. And that was before I knew a meta and not a single regret was had. I liked his 1 brv every turn mechanic. Sephiroth BT makes Aranea FR BUSTED. Lightning EX makes Aranea FR BUSTED. Light and Seph are green so this month is a blessing for me. Aranea will get my BT tokens though. I should skip Astos since he won’t provide support. If I get Quistis without Pity’ing then I’ll go for him but I will skip if else.
I remember joining Opera Omnia right around when Sephiroth launched in GL. He carried my ass through most of the story content back then. I never managed to get his BT. If this IW is indeed featuring him (according to datamining), then that'll be my chance.
Good news is I got Reks, Sephiroth, Lightning, and I am planning to pity Astos. Aranea I have but still need her FR/BT, and the FRs for Lightning and Sephiroth.
@@hana_flower875 I'm prepared to token her BT to give me some relief, honestly. If the free multi-draws don't help me out, I intend to throw tickets at the banner to chase Seph's FR and her FR at least, then token the BT. It's why I am waiting to token Beatrix's BT (unless the free pulls for that banner help me out, or if I score it while throwing tickets for Lightning's FR).
Hi aleo nice vid but a couple of questions. No . 1 what is this list base off . If its damage then theres no way sephy makes this list as if u crunch the numbers sephy does way less damage than all. This list feels upside down imo. No 2 I feel like there is too emphasis on cap up as whilst u mention sephy has 100% cap up it doesnt mean much in the long run as number of hp attacks matter more than cap up . E.g a 0/5 balthier badly outdamages a 5/5 squall with FR active and squall cap up is MUCH MUCH higher than balthier but balthier just has a much higher damage ceiling due to having extra hp attacks (His echo also hits harder too).(This has always been tested by a YT already so it is true ).
hp cap ups matter a lot when at the top level most units are dishing out the relatively same amount of hp attacks. Lightning deals 12, Aranea can deal that slightly more, sephiroth deals 9 aoe and 11 single target. When you have other dps like Tifa that does deal 12 hp attacks on average with her BT effect, but only has a 30% hp cap up, she won't compare to someone like lightning. By dps rankings, no its not JUST by damage. I even said in the video for Reks, if we were looking at pure numbers, he would be much higher. However, you have to factor in how practical a unit are they, how long does their effect last while they're dealing their highest dmg, what other stuff do they bring to the table that enhance their dps role? Taking all of that into consideration, its why Reks is the last spot, and why Balthier is not even listed.
@@aloefantasy thanks for ur response . Just to clarify lightning does NOT outdamage tifa in a ST fight despite having much more cap up . If u count tifa BT finisher and echo she's still ST dps Queen (till astos ) Also u said u factored in how long their effect is and their other utilities. So then the question is why is astos first. His Bt effect is only 6 turns , he has no utility outside damage and he has low cap up WHICH going by ur logic matters more especially since he has lower hp attack on average than any1 on this list. The answer is obvious DAMAGE which u urself even said which is why I asked u the question cause if ur going by utility aranea out utilities lightning and sephy (Aranea -delay, rebreak , crit fix through her vitalcrusher debuffand launch vs delay , rebreak and thunder also aranea is more consistent at the first 2 than lightning) but yet is placed lower and let's not even talk bout sephy lol . Which is what perplexed me bout this list.
@@ggtube1233 That's true lightnings bt finisher doesn't stack with Tifa's, however we also have to take into consideration how much damage they do outside bt. Tifa without her very very good follow ups does much less dps. Lightning, while she can't spam her EX every turn, still can use it pretty much every other turn, and it will still deal 12 hp attacks. Let's also remember her EX breaks and delays the target with every use. Tifas EX is not nearly as spammable and while it does delay, only delays by 1 turn and also does not break As with Astos, I understand the contradiction lol, but his dmg is literally so high and so ridiculous nothing really else matters. Hence why I said, his kit is "select all delete"
Interessing video :) on my team, Reks have full gears (just i don't unlock his BT skill), Lightning, i will have her FR weapon and Sephiroth...i missed his BT weapon ^^; just crazy the fact you will give me want to full pull his full gear
Fun fact about my Reks, i pull everything for his kits from ticket pulls EXCEPT FOR HIS LD LIKE GOD DAMN I'M SUFFERING MY DMG DUE TO NOT HAVING HIS LD BUT GOT HIS BT AND FR BY THE MERE OF LUCK
i tried that team actually. If you want Aranea to deal the damage, Lightning unfortunately will be taking up most turns. I recommend switching out either Lightning or Aranea for a support unit
