I love your presentations. I bet when some of us are ready to buy, you might be able to sell a table/booklet/pdf or whatever that compares all these off-grid companies with their features. You've really got something here and I appreciate your efforts.
I was thinking of asking for a spreadsheet that compares all of the units you’ve reviewed. You could offer to your viewers and monetize the information. I’d be willing to help create it if that’s of interest to you.
Great roundup. Can you do an episode on all companies that ship to Eastern Canada, and another for Eastern US. Seems like these regions are underrepresented. It's going to be a lot of work, emails and phone calls on your part, but will be an invaluable reference resource for all of RU-vid.
Off grid rules. I expect that in the near future most prefab builders will have off grid options for purchase. Love this video Kerry. Keep up the great work. 😎🤙🏽
I went through them all. Will take the Konga w/roots kitchen for 5.00 Alex/Kerry. I looked at the others and could not even fathom. For me having a hybrid approach in dealing with off-grid would work. I am going to assume that even in Sweden (only been to one city) that it must snow there too. I am always perplexed on why the flat roofs. I see only trouble on longevity of the prefab with flat roofs. Keep up the good work Kerry, one of these days I am going to yell out its the one!
Grrrrreat content as usual, Kerry! Love the off grid stuff as I like the idea of being less tied to utilities and better able to fix costs as I approach retirement. 🙏👍
Canada is heavily restricted on imports & I'm finding that out now. So very limited in thinking & affordability. So tired of being disappointed. It's sadly communistic & non competitive values that need fixing. I'm tired of it all. Choosing what government likes is a narrow lane to travel. Here for the ideas. Maybe in future. Idk😔 Happy New Year 💐
Hi Kerry, coincidentally I happen to be living a few miles away from the Zennihome prototype site. I pop in once a week to check the progress and talk to the contractor who is setting them up and who also is the contractor that I will be using when mine is delivered. Also got to meet Bob the CEO and they say that the models should be ready for touring in early February. Btw, they are looking great so far!
Kerry, I'm seriously thinking of the IOHouse top model... pricey but the quality 👌 is top-notch with a power addon for a 5KW windmill and new generation battery storage, a water net to top up the water tank. I already designed exterior accessories
Hey Kerry “ Again…great info & presentation as always…off the top of your head…do you know a company that ships to Central America ( Belize) Thanks 4 being You…Poncho C St Fingers
You say you've been checking out prefab homes for awhile now and i believe you, thats why im sub to your channel but i try to look at the homes "in the wild" and.... there's nothing, well beside the IncrediBox from ITH and one dude who bought a couple of Drop Structures... all the other companies are M.I.A.
Thank you Kerry for the amazing video again! We're ramping up production in Australia at the moment and are preparing ourself to move the US! More info soon!
Im in Hawaii and am watching all of your videos as I plan on getting multiple units starting in the next 24 months. Im following your advice on watching production and choices ramping up!
Really hoping we start seeing more of these homes stateside so people can review them. Offgrind homes are great, but we need to know some numbers like how big the raincatch system is and how much battery you have for the solar system.
A quick “thank you” for including Australian options, as I know your audience is probably more USA viewers and thus more “likes”/subscribers opting in. But just letting you know it’s much appreciated Kerry. Cheers.
Love to see off-grid options. It brings out the hermit in me, just want to get one and set it in a forest where I never have to see another person again. Thanks Kerry!
You just mentioned self sustaining homes & one made in South Carolina - but I missed the name 😢. Any chance you could remember & list it? Thanks so much ❤
Awesome videos of usual and enjoy the content. Looking at my home province of BC and most of Canada for that matter, what needs to happen is the people need to push the government to free up the land for the citizens and people to put these things, and build their future or maybe even new communities and towns. For example, in BC, the government owns and controls approximately 94% of all the land! You can't buy it currently and / or even apply outside of a 30-year lease with no option to buy! Write your MP and maybe time to start a petition? This is crazy if you look at just how big the province is and why rural nowhere land in BC costs 10 to 100x lore than comparable areas in the USA! Insane...
Very good presentation, however in the future please take time to state the materials used in each manufacturer building process. Like steel framing with wood siding or aluminum framing and siding or steel and concrete 3D printed, then there is wood framing and siding or composite over steel/aluminum! This distinguishes one manufacturer from another manufacturer.
We can change how a watermelon's DNA works, so it grows giant home sized watermelons, and even the inside of the melon could have its DNA modified so it grows in predesigned room shapes, and when it dries, people can move on in. They can be grown on site and at the end of harvest season, there's a new neighborhood all the sudden. No seriously, what is interesting is that we can grow zero cost giant ice rink sized slabs of mushroom type fungus as a very viable affordable renewable building material in about a month. This is what we should be using our automation for to end homelessness.
I don't think the all glass walls would work in Canada, heat lose in winter and heat up like a green house in summer. The last model might work, or supper think curtains.
Question! And thank you for all the golden content, Kerry. Have you considered putting together a list of top cabin/prefab companies that offer financing? You've mentioned Hewing house does in one of your videos but would love to have a curated list from you 🙏
Pure homes is interesting because it is affordable and has a good design, but too many glass walls 👍 Konga is also interesting with a good design 👍 Zenihouses too expensive for the result 😶
