Seriously? He’s trying to shame women into spending their money on the products they sell in their salons/ affiliate links, not giving other price point options, and mansplaining makeup (as if it not also make with chemicals that undergo chemical reactions and go on one’s body). I believe he knows what he’s talking about from years of experience, but he doesn’t know everything about hair, chemistry, all the choices women must make on what they can afford to spend to keep up with standards. Great products that isn’t selling can also do great things for one’s hair. He’s also not being wholly truthful … he’s underplaying how a great cut for one’s hair type and lifestyle plays a huge role.

I was a skeptic but I’ve been watching your videos awhile. I’m 47 with fine, highlighted hair and I’m feeling very pre-menopausal blah. I bought the redken volume injection shampoo (10 oz..I’m a skeptic) and used it this morning in the shower with your wash technique. Two washes…I’m oily. I used biolage conditioning balm (I love the smell and used it in the perm years..tell me it’s still fine?) and some OTC leave in conditioner spray because I couldn’t get the 10 oz matching conditioner. One wash and WOW. Just WOW. I put a drop of my rosehip face oil on my ends too before blow drying. I’m a believer now that I can actually have the hair of my dreams AFTER ONLY ONE WASH! Everyone….run to the store and get the products and follow his advice already!!! Just do it!! I’m speechless and I didn’t even follow all of your directions to a tee! What the hell was I waiting for and why did I wait this long?!? Thank you thank you thank you!!!! I’m about to binge watch all of your videos…lol

I need help. I used the Olaplex 4&5 because I have long, bleached hair. It left me with a lot of buildup & shedding like crazy. Haven’t used it in 12 weeks, still excessive shedding. My hair is fine & oily (I wash daily). I’ve since stopped putting heat on my hair, so I air dry. What would you recommend for my issues? The time I faced hair fall, I followed all the following to successfully control it: Include scalp massage into your routine. Avoid very hot water when rinsing your hair. Shield your hair from too much sweat. Use a wide-toothed neem comb to detangle wet hair. Reduce your sugar and processed food consumption. Use mild anti hair fall shampoo and oil like littleeextra cocconion. Nurture a positive mindset for general well-being.
@aabderrahmane
@aabderrahmane 7 месяцев назад
Let me put you on something that works WONDERS to combat hair fall (please don’t drastically adjust your diet just for your hair, it doesn’t do all that. You can trust me i’m a soon to be doctor and my mom is a derm): ROSEMARY OIL! I’m not gonna bore you with the name of the active and what it does to promote hair growth but let’s just say that it’s fat soluble and NOT water soluble (which means, all those youtubers SWEARING BY rosemary water are full of 💩, that doesn’t do ANYTHING). So the way to prepare it is pretty easy: put your “carrier” oil in a bowl (this oil will actually carry that hair growth promoting active to your hair) I personally love jojoba and coconut but there’s a lot of carrier oils so use whichever you have and love! Throw in 3-4 branches of rosemary onto it and use a double boiler (my favorite method, as it prevents the rosemary from burning) just leave it on the double boiler for around 45 minutes to let the rosemary diffuse and bottle it up next! You can use it once or twice a week and it works WONDERS I’m telling you! You could also put the carrier oil and rosemary in a pan and cook it over veeeeery low heat but that way it’s very easy to burn so I recommend you use a double boiler just to be sure! Good luck❤ PS: if you want to nerd out and research that active I was talking about, it’s carnosic acid.

@@drax432 well for one, youre not supposed to wash your hair daily, only every few days. and two, you are talking about clarifying shampoo which is supposed to be used along with regular shampoo. you use it for your first wash, then your second wash use regular shampoo. alternatively you can just use the normal professional shampoo twice. the reason you would only want this is so you can extend how many days you go without needing to wash + save how much shampoo you actually use.

I bought the Redken volume injection shampoo and conditioner based on Chris’s recommendation and his statement that this product has no sulfates and won’t strip your color. The Redken volume injection shampoo has no harmful parabens, it DOES have 2 kinds of sulfates which strip color. The shampoo is excellent, it smells amazing and my loose curls and waves are better than usual because the hair is not weighed down. It does keep my hair cleaner between washes. I will not be using this regularly, as it will strip my color and sulfates usually make my head itch.

It does not weight my hair down and in combination with the intense hydrating mask it saved my hair when I went to a salon and they bleached my hair to death 😑 I like to use a clarifying shampoo every 2 weeks thought I feel that makes the moroccanoil shampoo work even better on my hair. I tried so many different brands (redken, olaplex, briogeo,kerastase) but for my hair the moroccanoil products are the best so far. 👌

Which one of these would be best for gray hair that is coarse/dry just because it's gray? My hair is not damaged at all by any blow drying or stuff being done to it but the gray has definitely changed the texture. I use the Redken Leave In and Olaplex Oil you recommend. Just not sure about the shampoo. I air dry and have medium texture so maybe the Pulp Riot? Thanks! Love your videos!

There are still very important topics he has barely even touched upon, like what products are good for those of us who are sensitive and allergic to alot of ingredients and can only use more natural products, and cannot use traditional products that has silicones, sulfates etc.

My very fine hair can’t handle any silicone in a product. My initial blowout will look fine, but within hours my hair will be flat and slightly greasy in feel. So many of these recommended products have silicone, so I will continue to use Living Proof.

I work out 4-6 days a week and get super sweaty. Because of this, I have a problem with going 4-5 days without washing my hair. How do I do that if I’m sweating daily? By sweating I mean, my hair is not just perspired but actually soaking wet when I’m done. Especially on cardio days or when I use the sauna.

I think he mentions in his other olaplex videos that the shampoo and conditioner aren’t worth it. Tbh I’ve tried them and didn’t notice a difference, you’d be better off spending the money on the other products especially the no. 3. If you have an oily scalp like me, the shampoo definitely is not good for that

Hello! I apologize ahead of time for the length of this but I promis it’s all necessary info & im hoping you can help me tweak my hair regimen possibly? I have very fine, slightly wavy hair that’s cut into a style that looks best on straight hair so I wear it straight. My hair straightens easily but I struggle with keeping it smooth & shiny throughout the day. My hair has also been professionally bleached & toned to an icy silver white - I maintain that icy white color by using the L’Oréal LeGloss Color - it’s a conditioning toning mask I use 2x per wk (I’ve found this to work far better than any toning shampoo or other mask I’ve tried including Redkens Color extend violet shampoo or Olaplex purple shampoo - which I’ve found to be very drying. I apply the mask onto dry hair-roots 1st for 15 minutes & then the ends for 5. The rest of my hair routine is as follows: I rinse my mask off & wash hair - I alternate between Olaplex shamp/condit. OR Redken Extreme Bleach Recovery shampoo. Then follow w/Redken Lamellar water & a leave-in, which is redken extreme bleach cica cream & then a pump of L’Anza healing Blonde Rescue. The L’Anza leaves my hair FEELING/LOOKING much smoother & silkier than the leave-in alone. But I don’t know if it’s actually BETTER for my hair. I do use redken frizz dismiss spray too. This helps to tame any breakthrough waves when sweat (I work in a tanning salon). I use a flat iron as little as possible but blow drying usually isn’t quite enough to rid natural waves & dry frizzy ends. I sweat easily which can trigger both but when my ends aren’t parched or brittle,keeping hair smooth & shiny is easy enough. Before going platinum, I used to seal keratin into my hair with high heat setting on my flat iron and I’d have zero issues with frizz or waves breaking thru for about 6-8 weeks. But I can no longer use such heat. My biggest issue is that I STILL end up w/very dry parched ends, frizz & waves breaking through. Can you help me with how I can rid breakage, brittle ends, frizz and maintain a smooth shiny style? I just had a trim 3-4 days ago. I also use a hair oil midway to ends after I’m done with styling for shine & smoothness. (L’Anza Neem or IGK CRYBABY) Thanks 🙏 Allyson from Connecticut

so I’ve taken the quiz - apparently I have coarse hair - and the recommended product for shampoo/conditioner is Moroccan oil moisturizing. I’ve used these years ago - they weigh my hair down - and make it dry a f. Just wondering if there are other options? I also don’t think my hair is coarse - it’s curly and tends to be dry - but I don’t have a lot at all. cheers

I just found your channel and have been binge watching. I allowed my hair to go fully gray a few years ago and it has now grown out to shoulder blade length. It has always been fine and straight and is still fine though it does hold curl better than my brunette hair! I am doing two things right... using your top rated shampoo and conditioner for fine hair, the Redken, and using the leave in conditioner you recommend. My issue is this... you recommend not washing daily and my hair can definitely take that and I generally wash every 4 days or so. However, I can't wear it down after the first day because I have a terrible cowlick on my crown that goes crazy after I sleep in it. I know it can't be that uncommon a problem so do you have any recommendations for how to deal with it and be able to wear my hair down without rewetting and restyling?
@Champagne4loulou
@Champagne4loulou Год назад
It's not uncommon I have it too. I'm also growing my grey out so I have long grey roots on bleached light brown hair (advice from a previous hairdresser so the demarcation line wasn't too prominent). I also follow curly girl method so after my first sleep I have this awful grey patch in the cowlick on the crown that just makes my grey roots stand out even more. I end up using a lot of root spray to blend it but that makes my hair coarse and dry!

Hey Jan! I wish I had a great answer for hair growth products but that has more to do with what's going on inside your body. And products can only help so much. If you're able to...I would see a dermatologist who specializes in hair and scalp. They're much better at figuring out the root causes than a stylist! :)
