In my eyes, the key to being a good farmer is, being a very resourceful individual. A regular jack or all trades and a Macgyver. Never getting ride of anything. Collecting anything and everything for a possible future use that has yet to be determined. Making tools because it to far to drive to town to get the "right" tool . With price going up, it not like a farmer has the spare cash for a tool they may never use again
Tractor and farm truck are key. Any tool that makes a manual job easier. I have gas powered t post driver and gas powered auger. Battery power tools. Chainsaw.
Sockets....def. I can relate. When I graduated high school my present was o ne of those big sized Craftsman sets with what seemed like a million pieces. I still use it all the time.
