Arguably, my favorite part of these word games is simply the looks on Red Green's face. That man has a great talent for being able to keep a straight face when everyone else is laughing at a hilarious line.
The look on Red Green's face on so many of these is just absolutely classic. So funny. He is a great actor in so many ways. And the rest of the crew do fantastic as well. This was a great show.
Will remember Red Green and gang. For the rest of my life and beyond. Thanks Steve you put smiles on millions of folks. How about a uncore performance. Sometime?
50 memorably funny Possum Lodge Word Game clips from the uniquely creative Red Green Show! 😂These actors were all marvelously good at playing their characters! 👍🏻
Canadian shows never needed to use models who can’t act to get ratings. Every American network show has people with personal trainers. Canada has been about the writing and storytelling.
"We are all in this together.", a typical saying at the ending of the show. Then I saw a episode or two where they said they don't pay taxes. Figures, they were PBS.
I didn't remember the word game being inappropriate, although the several episodes I watched were as a kid since it ended when I was 11. Besides that I've always thought it was a hilarious show. It's funny how the person ends up guessing the word in an unconventional way.
After all these years I don’t understand the coughing & sex one. The rest are 100% Canadian major humor! I’m seeing Red in concert in Setember or October this year. Can’t wait!
Absolutetly creatively GREAT , Red & Gang were so "Off the wall" No Way Not to Gut laugh, Red aka Steve Smith is Still Around, age 72 as Of 2/18. Miss his His show & still be Hilarious Even if they updated to new Life theme Content.... cmon Back Red, for a Redux
The man who plays Red's nephew is a highly accomplished actor, who really takes off when he has something more challenging. As for Mr Smith... He's adorable. I once had the opportunity to stand next to him for a few minutes. It was all I could do to resist hugging and kissing him. (The Red Green voice is a put-on. He told me it sometimes left him quite hoarse.) I'd consider buying a complete set, if the laugh track were completely removed. It really spoils things.
Many comedies have laugh tracks created by an audience responding to the final edited version. The result is natural-sounding, but not "real". "Frasier" and "Barney Miller" are excellent examples. "Cheers" is the only show I'm aware of that indicated it was filmed before a live audience. If the final edited version still exists, it would be a trivial matter to transfer it without the laugh track.
My wife gave me the Red Green High Quantity DVD Box Set for Christmas when it was first released. She ordered it from Barnes & Noble. It's available on-line. I hope you find it because it's the best!
I had to watch this three times and I'm still laughing through every other quip, so I gotta watch it three more times just to see the whole thing, in answer to your question Clarence, We;ll take your word for it
Steve Smith once said it surprised hum how many women loved the show (it's how we think men act when we're not around). I've got nearly the entire series on DVD. Once in awhile I get together with my girlfriends to binge watch it. Also, love some of the double-entendres here.
Graham Greene (the actor) straight face while delivering lines... Never saw much of this show when we still had TV....was on a channel we only got during free trials. Ducky Dynasty has nothing on this...
Sorry to hear about that. I think he's the ONLY known fellon I'd actually hire. Just for the fun of seeing what he'd do. Man, this show is hilarious!!! Have you guys checked out History Bites? Brilliant way of depicting historic events!
+Crow T. Red's clue of 'porte-monnaie' is French for a small change purse. The others clearly understand the 'monnaie' part as change (money) but they seem to be interpreting 'porte' to mean an opening, like a port hole. Draw your best conclusion.
sugar833 Mike's mom apparently failed to keep track of her ovulation cycle , as per rhythm birth control. Mike is saying in a roundabout way that his mother didn't want him either.
