If there is no monetary value, you might as well be collecting rocks. I do have cards that are only a few dollars, but I love the art.

I think it's better to collect based on your instincts, personally I love buying single cards for 1 or 2 dollars each just because I like that specific card, I don't give much importance to the economic value also because that changes constantly, I don't want to find myself with a full binder of cards that are in there only for what happened in the market, I want my cards to be decided by me, having said this I do not despise those who dedicate themselves body and soul to the collection of rare cards and sealed products, indeed they have all the my admiration

I think the other secret rares, and the ultras to a lesser extent, are good to have in a collection as a trading/selling strategy. They may not have the upside of chase cards but they can help with adding value as you trade up. Having multiple copies of the top 4-10 cards of a set is also a good strategy because theres a better chance of having one graded highly, and if anything, they can help with liquidity since you have more than one.

As a streamer/reseller I agree. When it comes to PC, I’ll pay above market. If I want it, I want it. When it comes to inventory, that’s a different story.

Beautiful collection! I'm not really into graded cards myself as I only have 3 in total. I do like the idea of having only top chase cards graded. I'd rather everything else be raw.

Honestly buy what you like for a good price and if you have good taste it will go up in your time

I have 3 paldean fates charizards in a 10 and one charizard v from brilliant stars also in a 10. Happy you have them aswell

next week if it goes to plan i will be grading my 1st card sadly it not a pokemon card it is a mathew knies young gun just hope this kid keeps up that skill he impressed me with this past season lol
