i have the phoenix lite 2 its good cause i needed to do a Throttlebody relearn plus i never had a bi directional scanner but sometimes it tripps out like the blue tooth dongle wont connect or just stop when your working then you got go and fix that part they should have at least made it to a cable was optional since the blue tooth craps out when it knows your deep in to diagnose wats wrong 🤣🤣🤣
Will it scan my Dodge Durango without an auto auth subscription? The listings on Amazon for all TOPDON plus don’t list normal cars. Chevy. Ford. Dodge. Ect.
Went to TopDon website. For the Durangos, it will scan '98 and newer. Notice they didn't breakdown to the actual trim (don't know if that matters). Good luck.
The rear actuator is fine. This is a common problem and it happened in my 06 Yukon. Back in 2010 I took the actuator out and took it apart. I put a shallow screw and nut to serve as a stopper. It over travelled and defaulted to the cold position. If you search the net, you should find posts on it. Mine has been working fine since 2010.
Hey from Bayonne. Any luck with the Astra? I just picked one up and didnt realize how much of a pia it will be. Looking for a scanner and found your video.
will it do a active test to demand max fuel pressure on the cp3 injection pump to test?for a 2005 gmc sierra 2500hd with a 6.6L duramax?if not do you know what bidirectional scanner will? thank you
Hey if your looking for a really good aftermarket headlight brand as good as oem and a 1/3 the price, use TYC (look and fit exactly like oem) used them on my Tahoe and Silverado and they fit perfectly
Which “autel” from your work are you comparing this top don to? & as far as your weird electronical prob on the Tahoe I’d check them two skinny ground wires on the back of the engine on each side next to the valley cover they got 13mm bolts
It’s a Maxisys with commercial/heavy duty vehicle compatibility. We also have a light duty maxisys but it acts the same way. The heavy duty is a few years old and the light duty is pretty new.
The gm tpms requires the activation tool that u stick on the tire sidewall and when you put the vehicle in learn mode it honks as u go lf rf rr lr. At least thats my experience as a gm tech in the past. Some cheap aftermarket sensors have to be programmed before you install them.
@@lsxmatt the gm tool can also scan and obtain the I'd code for the sensors to program in the TPMS module as well. It can go through the tire sidewall to read the sensors if you have it pointed at the sensor through the tire sidewall.
Not sure if this will help you but the numbers for the engine code are the size of the engine, 22 is 2.2L, 18 is 1.8L. I owned a 2005 4 door Astra H for a while here in Australia. Also, selecting Opel would probably let you do the auto select since its technically a Opel.
Matt do you think the topdown will be a good scanner for my 2021 Silverado 5.3? I am seriously looking at the phoenix smart. it does CanFD, DoIP, j2534, rp1210, D-PDU etc.
On my Tahoe the rear gets stuck on HOT, and took it all apart and found the Hot/Cold blend door shaft that goes onto the blend door motor had broken. I repaired it and it worked for a year and now it must be broke again because it is stuck on Hot mode. Wish it had broke in Cool mode, I would be happy to just leave it there. But My German Sheppard rides back there so I have to fix it again. The part that broke is not sold by itself so I may have to find the whole assy in a junk yard or something. ** It is a big pain to take all the panels apart in the back to get to it**
It's nice but still not in my price range , now if they wanna send me one for free " to review" that would be great 👍 . Lol good video Matt looking forward to TA videos and for a 04 Tahiti looks great
The rear heat on the tahoe not working is most likely a bad rear hvac module there is a tsb out for them going bad. Only way to fix is with a brand new module.
probably the reason the rear air isn't working is because the actuator went out its just like the front ones either the motor gets weak or the plastic gears crack
Doesn’t hold a charge as long as I’d like. I’m planning on swapping the second batt out for a deep cycle and adding an isolator to keep them separate when the ignition is off.
Hey love your channel I had a 08 GMC envoy i had a TPMS light on for ever I found on line have a air chuck near u leave car running and start removing air from tire once it gets low it will honk horn then u go to next one computer will see each tire
I’ve never had luck with heavier oil when the pressure is low. Usually when the vehicle warms up and the oil thins out the pressure would drop again. Have you tried replacing the gauge sender? Sometimes they fail and read low.
Is the topdon Phoenix plus able to turn on or off functions such as , Adas, cornering light, test clocks after turning the key, closing the windows from the remote control, traction?
@Ghost-nd3km it has a ton of functions. I was capable of turning off the passenger occupancy sensor on 2012 BMW X6. I have done a lot with this scan tool, and it is amazing! I'm still learning a lot more with it. The Phoenix Max is the main one I work with daily. But the plus is amazing as well. We have the Snap-on Zeus and Autel. I gotta say this tool tops them all day long.
@@mikea9521 thanks , better than autel or launch?autel mk906bt launch x431I read reviews on YT that Phoenix plus is a copy of Launch and the guy got rid of it, I do not know which device to choose. How does it deal with Asian cars?
@renoleceesay7869 you do lose coding and programming, but if you renew your subscription you can continue to code and program. That is normal with just about all scan tools. I own 2 autels and 3 snap on scanners. Same with those as well. Keep up the subscription and your good to go.
