Scamming means trying to win an unfavored fight. Bascially if you know you can't beat your opponent you try to think of a cheesy way you could still make it work (like a deathrattle build that highrolls really hard, or a bunch of small poison guys that get lucky hits)
Not the point of this particular video but I don't really have a handle on the use of bumpers. All three turns you had lightfang in, it was used as a bumper and made your outcomes worse. I get it against george and when you're late enough to assume a divine shielded amalgadon with taunt. But it seems to perform poorly for me in mid/late game with no additional information.
In the mid/late game people almost ALWAYS have either a divine shield taunt (because of mechs or amalgadon) or an elistra. Not having a bumper can get your big units killed without getting value. So the potential downside of having a bumper is never as big as the potential downside of not having a bumper.
