My favorite part of Star Wars was when Orlando Bloom said 'That's not good enough' and saved Padme Amidala from a toxic relationship with Anakin Skywalker.
I remember when Troy came out. It felt like CA wanted to give historical Total War fans some type of peace offering lol. The problem with that is that it was based on the Iliad a story full of mythological characters. So it had a massive identity crisis.
They quite literally revamped the entire game to split the campaigns and it was still ragged on. Too bad I missed the giveaway, but from watching this and a few other things it just looks like how every TW game has been since R2/WH, which is a damn shame, since I love the setting.
@@WelcomeToDERPLAND I adore the setting too. At least we can be sure the modding community will someday create on the old engine both a Total War: Iliad that is faithful to source material and a Total War: Bronze Age that has all the important factions and Sea people invasion. It's only a question of when.
@@theicepickthatkilledtrotsk658 Well, in that case the biggest limitation is the engine itself- using the original one... it's like a max of what 30~50 Factions and 4GB ram with a third party tool to increase it from 2GB... Honestly, if RSIII/StainlessSteel HRM and various other mods despite these limitations are still the best TW content in existence imo. Just a damned shame the second the ram eats more than 4GB's S.S-HRM insta-crashes, haven't had that problem much on RSIII though, maybe through some modding madness they circumvented it or something idk- afterall they did go full insano-mode and developed their own installer for the damn thing.
This game was so epic, i could only handle 5 minutes of it before uninstalling its glory to save myself from the fate of the bad guys in indiana jones raiders of the lost ark
All I want, is a Troy Remake where they would cast Dino Stan as this Barbarian Warlord where he could use his Barbarian Voice in Total War Rome 2, That be a Bigger Dream than Total War Medieval 3
Please CA, if you are reading this, please remove more mechanics, please remove more depth, please copy and paste more TW's, please remove any individuality and charm from the games by making them all play the same, please keep the difficulty non existent with difficulty modifiers just giving the ai infinite monis and stat hax, please-
@@Dino_Stan Honestly, Shogun 2 was just a cutback Nippon Napoleon- being the last game to use that engine before the Rome 2 changes. If I had it my way we'd all be playing Rome 1.5's/Med 2.5's without the 20+ year old engine limitations dev'ed by the ultra nerds behind Roma Surrectium & Stainless Steel HRM
@@Dino_Stan Aint nothing wrong nor lame bout that my guy, infact I totally agree. One of the best aspects of those games were the generals and their family trees- hell I know that some of the traits actually influenced their speeches, like the insanity one making the speeches... well insane. Again, I suggest those mods if you want more of that kind of stuff. (RSIII comes with an installer to simplify things, and if you dont mind a more 'work in progress' you can just get the workshop ver on the remaster with a single click)
They don't like Troy, but he's pretty entertaining. However, since new mechanics came with this game for the first time compared to previous Total War games, people had difficulty getting used to it. Also, trying to sell Atilla and Pharaoh, which should actually be DLC, as separate games is also a marketing mistake.
Yes. Although this game is very hard due to its mechanics system, I liked this game. By the way, you should try about Dananns faction. Archilles will be more fun!
I remember getting this game for free on Epic and I still havent even launch it. I remember installing it and later uninstalling it withouth even starting it up xD
Hmm, my respect for you dropped. Of all the brothers of Troyto play as, you chose the NTR route. Lol! And ya haven't made any ankle's related jokes so far.
I remember my first campaign I bulked up so much expecting to be called in for the big Trojan War and basically, got blue balled by the game, how in the fuck we gonna make a game about some shit that is largely speculative, have all this promo material about giant battles outside Troy, and then, my ass when playing the game can go like 150 turns before ever needing to even get on a boat as Achilles? It was really just disgraceful
