2/5 at the Wynn (or Aria) might be the hardest live 2/5 game in the entire world.

I found Aria quite soft, with people mostly buying in short. However I'd agree with the Wynn statement

@NeiltheDeal I prefer my sleep schedule, and the daytime games really aren't that bad if you know how to exploit them, the game definitely shifts from 11-3pm and 3pm-7pm, and if you can change gears you'll do fine. I still had a $128/hourly for the daytime sessions, so I don't think they're as bad as people make them out to be

Hey man, just started watching the videos a couple weeks back. From the first to this one quality has gotten much better. I’m a big fan of your hand analysis and thought process while reviewing hands. I’m an aspiring poker player who will be in Vegas this coming weekend, and I just wanna say the Aria is my personal favorite room to play in. It’d be awesome to play with you but I only play 1/3 until my bankroll grows lol

@BluffaloSam 10 месяцев назад
I've only been back playing for 7 months or so, I wouldn't consider myself a grinder. I play max 25 hours/week, usually 5 days a week, 5 hour sessions (mostly because Vegas games are very tough and mentally draining) I eat very well, and work out every morning, get home study and cook myself a nice meal, and on my off days I don't do anything poker related. I'm fortunate enough to have my poker bankroll be completely separate from my real money, and I don't touch it at all.

on your AA hand in a 3 bet pot heads up with AA, you are trying to stack his premium holdings until the river. he still wins and you still lose in this scenario but in 70-80% of the time in the same scenario you'll be ahead by a lot. the flop bet and turn bets are TOO SMALL

I'm nearly done my month in Vegas, and 85% of my volume was 2/5 at the Wynn, I didn't find it to be either of those. The pros were action, flops still going multiway, it was the least nitty action out of all the locations I tried, (also the only place where nearly everyone bought in for 200-300bbs) however, the competition was fierce

Great vid Bud. The hand you got donked into with the flush is a flush 90% of the time. You will see it bye bad regs or fish. They donk so that it Dont get checked back. So having the nut blocker does not matter they are not thinking players. Might save you some cash down the road.

I don’t mind that reraise on the turn with A6 but when villain calls he has set, str or flush draw. River completed everything. He’s calling or raising any small bet there. Your lighting money on fire betting that river. Again opponent now has to have a monster.

I think you raise too often, and with too wide a range, when you are the defender. IMO, you need to not just be in a favorable spot, but also have a favorable hand; otherwise, you are going to over-bluff, which I think you do. You did it twice with AJo in situations I would have just let it go, especially the second hand because you had no real relevant blockers. (The Jh does not block many likely value hands, especially with the Qh on the board.) AA: I definitely would have sized up on the turn. When I bet small on the flop, and the turn is a relative blank, I generally bet large.

I've been playing seriously and studying for over two years now. At first I lost thousands, then began a huge winning streak making $150 an hour at $1/$2 at my best. Since June I haven't had a winning session and now I'm down more money than ever. I keep getting my stack in as a huge favorite only to lose it all to some idiot gambler drawing to 2-3 outs. Are some people just born unlucky? Should I quit playing?

You might not be a winning player (no offense) $150/hour at 1/2 can only be pure run good. If you're losing and only remembering coolers, you may be bleeding in the smaller pots, it takes a lot of effort, study, and discipline to play this game

I played a few times there during the WSOP when everywhere else had long waits, mostly trash games but I would table change until I found a decent game. Out of curiosity, do you ever table change if a game is bad?
