The 2021 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid is the top-spec Corolla Altis in the country. It shares the same platform as the 2021 Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid, which can be bought for 40,000 pesos more. Because the price is so small between these two hybrids, the Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid gets overlooked when compared to the crossover Corolla Cross Hybrid. In this Filipino Car review, we take a full tour of the 2021 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid and then drive it to see how it performs on the road. It has teh same design as the larger Toyota Camry, and even the smaller Toyota Vios, but I find that the proportions of the 2020 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid to be much better than the smaller Toyota Vios. This is also better-looking than the crossover Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid. The Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid is meant to compete against the Honda Civic RS and the Kia Forte GT. However, there are a lot of crossovers in the same price space as the 2021 Toyota CorollaAltis Hybrid, like the Corolla Cross Hybrid, the Geely Azkarra, the Honda CRV, the Nissan X-Trail. Even other SUVs like the Ford Everest, the Mitsubishi Monterosport and the Toyota Fortuner also compete in the same price segment. However, when it comes to ride comfort, handling, and stellar fuel economy, the 2021 Toyota Corolla Altis Hybrid is tough to beat.
