Mrs is one of the best handling car. It responds so quick with little input, makes a great competition for miata, s2000 and boxter. Handling of the Mr-S is something very special, I’ve never driven something like this. Nearest one would be Lotus elise. The lightweight MR is rare jem now.

This reminds me of P.S Modify Chonburi's custom mr2s! They also mentioned the good chassis and driving feel that made the company's decision to use mr2s at the base! Its not really an mr2 after the conversion but its so cool!

A good friend of mine has a ZZW30 that he takes to Tail of the Dragon a lot, and because of that his attention to his build has been primarily to make it handle as well as possible. I’ve ridden in this car and it absolutely drives like it’s on rails, easily one of the best handle cars I’ve ever been in. If you frequent dragon and know a silver MR-S with a hardtop, a TRD wing and some 5Zigen wheels, you know who I’m talking about 😏

As a massive Toyota fan the mr2 is my dream car. It’s a beautiful piece of Japanese wonder with incredible power and reliability for its class

It’s just so perfect, had one with kony inserts and whiteline sway bars it drove like it was on rails.

My favourite thing about it stylistically are the headlights. Yeah it sucks that pop-ups are gone, but damn I love huge headlights they look adorable while still fitting the body and character of the car so well

The MR2 spyder is very good, especially in monster hillclimb series. Besides if you compare the car to its time it looks good.

That car is one of the most beautyfull cars Ive evere seen.

i own one, i love it to bits. it's more impractical than a Smart for 2. the MPG ain't anything to write home about. there's no boot/trunk space other then maybe 2 small to mid sized duffel bags awkwardly placed behind the seats. you NEED to make sure the engine has been overhauled/updated or risk catastrophic engine failure at some point. the radio is a brick that hides behind the gear stick. a decent OEM hardtop is near impossible to find. and my fat ass barely fits in the seat. but as someone who is 6'1, or 186Cm for the normal people out there, who tried an NA, NB and even an NC. it's the best option for a fun affordable convertible that allows me to put my knees UNDER the steering wheel instead of wedged between the door and steering wheel. it's lighter than a Miata, snappy, handles like it's on rails and doesn't rust as easily. it's an underdog. and although it might not be worth Ferrari money, they are definitely a fun and worthwhile investment that will only appreciate in value.

I'm just a fan of the previous generation because it's more sharp really. Not too big of a fan of how round the spyder is but I respect it from a far

I like these mr2s because they're the sister car to my Celica. I'm pretty sure that some of them came with the two ZZ engines from Yamaha, so some of them from the early 2000s had a 180 horsepower 1.8 l with a 6-speed manual same as the Celica GTS. Mutton from Martini works discord server actually has a MR2 that has a ones easy that he is currently turboing

My dad bough one and i said it looked ugly then i drove it and fell in Love with it and got my own MR2 its just fun to drive but now u can buy modified parts and make the lights look like a mean little badger.

Mk1 Audi TT is a super fun car...it's like a go-kart for adults with the power to weight ratio(with the 225hp version of the car), all time all-wheel drive with the Quatro drivetrain, and snappy steering make for an inexpensive fun car.

They dont actually look bad, theyre like a porsche carrera gt that you left in the dryer too long 😂

Bery light and nimble. Yeah, the headlights look a bit goofy, but as for the rest, it's a sporty-ish toyota of all things

I always thought the 3rd gen MR2 was like that one thing you REALLY like..but for some reason still think its ugly, but not at the same time and cant quite figure out why. Ive always wanted to get my hands on a 1st gen..but I honestly like all three.

Fun fact: Toyota MR2 was originally called MRS in Japan, the name was changed for the USA market

yeah this may not be as pretty as the one that came before but this platform is just *chef's kiss.

I like every Gen of the MR-2, because they all feel like some totally different cars even though they were all évolutions of the predecessor with the same idea behind it… but the original one was the 80’s spaceship AW11, then there was the Ferrari-like 90’s smooth body lined SW20, and then the little capable sporty roadster that was the ZZ30… I think there’s an MR-2 for everyone depending on what type of driving and experience they want to have

The formula for the MR2 is a dream come true- mid engine, sporty/slightly exotic, reliable, and affordable. I hope the 4th gen 2025 (if true) holds to this formula. Some rumors claim it will be like the NSX…not affordable. Another note from the past, the Fiero could have been something but was crap. The X1/9 was stylish (Bertone!, with non-US bumpers) but not reliable.

The AW11 will always be my favourite mr2 no contest. The mk3 is alright but honestly MX5s perfect 50:50 weight distribution allows for much more balanced handling characteristics

I live for MR2’s, but i just cant get behind the gen 3. It just doesnt look right to me. My 100% fav is the gen 2 w the popups, and it has improved snap oversteer. MR2 gen 2 goated car.

I got the zzw30 to k swap it and only with the condition of getting a LP Monocraft Gen1 kit would I drive it confidently. Stock for stock the zzw20 is looks/performs best but something about that monocraft kit makes the buggy eyes work for me. Prices are rising for these cars.
