The 2 Ladies Trưng (Hai Bà Trưng), Trưng Trắc, and Trưng Nhị are two sisters who became Vietnamese national heroines for leading a rebellion against the Chinese Han Empire in the first century AD. They were joined in their fight by other heroines and inspired many more throughout Vietnamese history.
Their saga intertwines myth and history.
They are notably celebrated on Vietnamese Women's Day, October 20.
