he said “one of the deadliest” so his statement is valid. Haiyan is deadliest for this decade followed by Hurricane Maria, Bopha (Pablo) Cyclone Idai, Washi (Sendong) and Cyclone Kenneth
Hey, Force Thirteen! Here's an idea that may be worth considering for animations like this. What if the rotation speed of the hurricane icons corresponded to their wind speeds? For example, tropical storms would rotate at around 20rpm, but category 5s would rotate at 40rpm. It would be a way to make the animations more visually appealing and more comprehensive of the speed of the stronger storms, like Maria. Obviously, I'm not forcing you to make this change, but it would be cool to see!
This storm impacted even worse because all of the Caribbean countries were still recovering from hurricane irma and to get smashed by another category 5 is just devastating
I felt so bad for the Caribbean islands that season. They first had to get a knockout blow from that monstrous Irma and then Maria came in and gave them the death blow. This was just a horrible season for the Caribbean and just a horrible season in general being the most deadly season of the 2010’s, the costliest on record. This season will be one for the record books mainly due to Irma,Harvey and Maria.
Yeah, it was catastropic. Nearly the same thing happend this year to the Philippines alone, three strong typhoons including a Cat5 with 195mph winds making landfall at oeak intensity within a span of two weeks. Along side that two tropical storms also hit it. Making 5 systems hitting the area within 14 days
@@juliusnepos6013 2020 has been a bad year for both the Atlantic and and pacific. Luckily we didn’t get a cat 5 this year for the Atlantic breaking the 3 year cat 4 streak but we did get Laura,Delta and Eta which were all powerful storms
The only significant storm from 2017 that didn't get a track. Thank you force 13 for giving this to us. The people who died in this storm will be remembered forever.
Hurricane Maria was a Beast,i am from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and the Storm was Really Devastating,i used to live in the Municipality of Bayamón which is Close To San Juan ,and the Winds were still very Strong even if it Interacted with Land ,i Think it was 140 MPH when it pass through my Location
San Juan I have vague memories but I remember it being the most beautiful place second to my relatives houses near the mountains(can I even call em that lol)
Hurricane Maria caused catastrophic damage in Dominica and also caused the worst electrical blackout in Puerto Rico. Restoration of power and recovery in Puerto Rico may take several months.
I'm from Dominica and i can recall this Hurricane being a Category 2 Hurricane just 70 miles away from Dominica, it literally jumped from a Category 2 to a Category 5 under 1 hour with the eye passing directly over us, we got a direct hit, it still hurts up to today😢
Irma's effect was definitely not even close to as severe as Maria was in Puerto Rico, though it was certainly a catastrophe for the carribean islands that got affected by it and also Florida. Both Maria and Irma are on the top 5 costliest storms in recorded history.
Hurricane Maria is one of 4 storms in the Atlantic to hit Stage 10 on the CDPS. other 3 being: Hurricane Wilma 2005 in the Yucatan Peninsula Hurricane Harvey 2017 in Texas Hurricane Dorian 2019 in Bermuda
@@aron1332 he said in the atlantic but that is also fine, i am kinda pissed the atlantic is much famous than the wpac eventhough the systems there are much awesome
Worst Hurricane i have been in, 18 long hours and a long process of restoration, almost a week without communication and waiting on long lines to get gas and food😔 I pray everyday it dont happend again🙏
@@passiveaggressivechat9146 Hello, I would like to know if you read the part I wrote "My REanalysis for 2017 NATL hurricane season". If you read and understand with MY estimates, everything is fine. Have an excellent day!
