so basically, Trae is bad defensively, and Trae is bad at picking the right shots. or Trae is just feeling the tension from all the trade rumours being floated around.

@@duanedoldrum7570 Sure, if you're just gonna iso, he's probably the best target. But clearly just trying to get Hauser switched onto the ball handler and then attacking him hasn't worked great. @RobotBoy76
@RobotBoy76 Год назад
Not many weak links on the C's D so Hauser must seem like a ray of sunshine for opponents. He has held up okay to this point and is certainly not the liability he was a year ago. Still, it's difficult to understand exactly why he's playing in this series - through two games (26 minutes), Hauser has taken exactly three shots, made one, and scored a grand total of three points. If Hauser isn't shooting then...? The C's have far superior defenders on the bench who can give three points on offense.
@louisg6296
@louisg6296 Год назад
@@RobotBoy76 That is true, but I think that since Hauser is known as a shooter, he brings some gravity on offense even though he does not shoot much. The celtics don't really have someone else for this position (Grant Williams can't play the 3), and Hauser only plays a few minutes anyway.

When you pause the video mid action I think my connection is bad and the video is stuttering. Some zooming, drawing or anything will be a perfect solution. When you pause the video and say that (for example) Young can pass to this guy in the corner ( I don't know his name perhaps) you can circle him or zoom in on him to show how open he is. Some minor things like this would make this video so much easier to watch and follow. Also where is the iconic music .. I think we all miss it in the background ;( Great breakdown none the less :)

The problem with Trae is kinda similar to Luka's. Both need to improve their shot profile especially by decreasing their step back three attempts. Both don't have really threatening defense. @Jean-Patrice Paluku Lebron is top 10 on his team for effective field goal percentage and true shooting percentage. His decision making alone still makes him the best option to have the ball in his hand on the Lakers. Lebron isn't the best player in the league anymore, or even top 5, but he is definitely a lot fucking better than Trae Young. Peak Trae Young is worse than old ass Lebron. Trae Young has the lowest percentages on his own team, I don't think any other first option all star in the NBA is in the category of worst shooting percentages. The only way that would happen is if Westbrook became the first option on some trash team next year.

Coach Nick I am a Hawks fan and I'm really surprised that you would say he got benched. If you know the Atlanta Hawks you would know that Trae Young always sits at the end of the bench. The problem with the Atlanta Hawks is the Boston Celtics are still able to key in on Trae. And a gentleman his height and weight cannot be keyed on,so the rest of the team is going to have to step their game up which will allow him to have more open looks.

Coach Nick . . . Trae ALWAYS comes out of the game at the 6 - 7 minute mark under Quin. When Nate was the coach, it was Dejounte coming out that point, but Quin changed it up. I've been following Murray since his last high school days and with the Spurs . When he entered the league he was raw asf his handles was elite and great athleticism but that's about it . Pop made the jewel that he is today and the defensive power house . His only downfall is his fucking oversized EGO but he is a profesional basketball player in contrast to Trae whom is a Rec league player that made it in the NBA .

The difference was he had a team of shooters around him. He was allowed to play his iso and PnR game, draw 2 defenders, and pass to a guy who can actually hit a 3. Right now the hawks have one reliable 3 point shooter on the roster.

Trae doesn't have a turnover problem. His TO rate for his usage is average. Team-mates are not sick of him and he is not getting traded. This is a bad video which is surprising because I really enjoy your videos. Will there be a video about how well he played in games 3-5? Probably not

@SlimBone1105 Год назад
He brings this up in the video. As a PG your job is to move the ball to get the best shot OR score yourself. You can't dribble the ball for 10-15 seconds then just toss the ball to a teammate and expect them to consistently make the shot.

@@SlimBone1105 I know trae has also problem with decision making, but most of his teammates like JC, Bey, JJ when the ball passed to them and even if they are wide open, they can't shoot the ball consistently. Good for Snyder to reduced trae's minutes into the game.

@z0tw
@z0tw Год назад
Trae can become one of the best offensive creators in the league. It sucks that he is plagued by inconsistent decision making. That's why his shooting percentages have taken a hit. He was nailing a lot of these deep 3's early in his career because no one really expected them. Now he is forcing things when they used to be natural. Makes for very frustrating viewing. If he would just drive on a lot of these 3's instead of bailing out the defense constantly, the Hawks wouldn't have such a problem offensively. Like you are doing the defense and the other team a favor by making it to where they don't have to really work. I am sure many teams would rather have Trae shoot a contested or even an open 3 12 seconds into the shot clock and then corral the rebound than deal with defending a drive. His floater is so good as well, but he just doesn't go to it often enough. Trae needs to improve his fundamental BBIQ a lot over the summer while putting on at least 5 to 10 lbs of more muscle. Dude has the ability, he just needs to get back to basics and refine them because right now he is fundamentally lacking.

i think bottomline here is that the celtics guards are living rent-free in Trae's head. He double pumps even if he doesn't need to because D.white has blocked his shot so many times now. He throws away passes because he's not focused worrying when the next smart steal is coming. Throw in the timelord at the rim and that's going to push him into taking 3's more than driving. and i bet it's not enticing when after a turnover/missed shot, the celtics force him to play defense by posting up marcus smart or have D.white run around a bunch of picks.

Trae Young is literally just Jordan Poole. Like, you look at their shooting numbers, look at the effective production, they're basically the same guy. Jordan Poole isn't bad, but if he's your best player, you're probably not gonna play so great. But Trae takes shots like he's Steph, and he's simply not. He's not in his stratosphere. In fact, Jordan Poole might be better cause at least he does ANYTHING off ball. Trae literally just stands there when he doesn't have the ball.
