Fact: In 1966, John Fogerty & Doug Clifford were drafted into the U.S. Armed Forces. To avoid Vietnam, Fogerty joined the U.S. Army Reserves while Clifford joined the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves. The remaining members of CCR were never in the military.
There are a bunch of inaccuracies in this video! Tom Fogerty & Insects had no influence on, Creedence Clearwater Revival! John Fogerty, along with Doug Clifford were the originals along with Stu Cook who was asked by Doug & John to join after they realized they needed a piano player as the were an instrumental band, only! Later, after much lobbying by John, they asked Tom Fogerty to join as a singer!
I enjoyed CCR! Lots of great music! You never hear about Janis, Jimmy or the WHO any longer. Goid story telling songs and life. The 60's and early 70's was when to be alive. Lots of changes by mid 70's. No More Love!
Where to begin... Tom Fogerty was not in the Army or the military. He was not of draftable age and was married with two kids at the start of the war. Doug Clifford was not in the Marines and did not get drafted or sent to Vietnam. So many other mistakes... who puts this crap together?
Dufficult to be putting together a documentary of a band and not be able to use clips of their tunes ! Like wtf right!? Not your fault i get it . Just sucks couldnt get permission to use a clip outta 5 differnt songs lol but who would you ask, and we be told no anyway lmao. All it would do is spread the word and their music to a younger generation ?? Something like that loll. Which isnt that the whole point?? Either way still a great doc though!
