The tragedy of self betrayal in women 

Wow, I’m so glad I came here from TikTok. A woman that is living in her most authentic and genuine lifestyle is the happiest. One that does not involve self betrayal 💯

I cried yesterday after seeing this video. As a black woman, I’m so tired of seeing posts with self-hating black sisters whether it’s about colorism, internalized misogyny, centering men, low self-esteem, etc. Of course, it’s valid to express your frustrations about your life just like anyone else, but with black women it seems like that’s the bottom of the barrel. No one else cares about a black woman’s feelings except ourselves, which leads to this constant battle of validation from other races. I’m starting to be more spiritually strong, which led me to built up confidence overtime regardless of my dark skin. Ladies, PLEASE learn to love yourselves. Get close to God. Start saving up money and cooking at home. Get therapy for any past issues and past traumas. Excel in your education or career or family. Be your most authentic self. Don’t feel restraint to be society’s sculpture of what a black woman should be. Thank you for these videos, keep on being you!

We're taught we're asking for too much. That's why we constantly self betray. We accept the little because we think what we want is unattainable. Unlearning it takes time, but its possible.

This video is an eye opener, I've been realizing how not being creative effects me mentally, I use to write songs & sing but now I can't write a whole song, and I feel it taking a toll.

This was exactly what I needed to hear , I had made the decision to move out of state. To start a new beginning, not only that my birthday is ten days and I just been having the urge to start living my life to the fullest and to allow that “wild “ women to express herself (me ) . Tired of feeling as if life has me on a choke hold . I’m finally putting my foot down and stop going against myself

My self betrayal started when i was a little girl watching my mother talk badly about herself and her body, her husband and her life. I have yet to end this cycle of self betrayal where i lack to take proper care of myself physically and mentally

The quote you included about envy really spoke to me. honestly reminded of some older women in my life and how their unfulfilled lives lead them to being horrible to carefree women

It is true that women are more often vying for freedom than men…seems like the more we attempt to break free from conditioning, the more support we lose. I believe a lot of the systems that play to women’s conditioning also expect us to remain level-headed and not express any form of rage. So it is paradoxical (I.e. not expressing rage is the expected response to injustice).

I’ve always been a free spirit and other women who fell victim to the expectations of society have always given me hell for it. Whether it was my mother, girls at school, older judgmental women. Ive experienced so much envy and bitterness from the women around me for allowing my wild woman to be free. Thank you for being so intellectual, and confident, and beautiful! You are inspiring us all.

I love this! I've had a business for 5 years but due to outside forces of betrayal to it causing my own self betrayal (low self esteem working horrible jobs for other people) its failed. I'm getting back into my creative business full force i have so many ideas! I have hid my creativity so much 😩. Doing shadow work through shamanism has helped me.
