Sonic Dream team takes the gameplay back to a more platform and exploration focused approach to traditional level to level structure. I think this game shows a lot of what made earlier Sonic games entertaining even if it is restricted by mobile. Unfortunately, it is not readily accessible.

I can only watch from the sides but from what I've seen its nice side story. With my only real issue with it being the voice acting for Cream and Rouge and the lack of Ilumina.

Not surprised Lumina was forgotten. The voices were a bit off for sure, but I am not sure why because we have heard them in these roles back in 2011.

I have an apple device, but the worse part is you having to pay a monthly subscription. Feels like renting, not buying. I hate subscription services.

I just finished the game and I thought it was shockingly good. Playing it on a MacBook with a Switch Pro Controller makes it feel like a $20 console release and it’s a shame that the game is stuck to an Apple subscription service. In terms of the game itself, I’d be happy if Frontiers 2 takes inspiration from Dream Team’s level design as a replacement for the current cyber space stages. I also don’t mind the simplistic boss fights after having just dealt with Superstars’ garbage fights that drag on way too long. Lastly, I’m glad to have Cream back and hope she gets used as a “5th Team Sonic member” instead of Rouge going forward.

Apparently cream was able to be involved because the story took place in a dream, so it is not likely she will join the team for real.

Speaking of someone who has played the game, it’s actually really good. It’s a shame that it is currently locked to Apple Arcade, but seeing as Apple helped finance the game that’s completely within their right to negotiate and exclusivity deal (it would be nice if they allow it to go onto other systems, but business often isn’t nice.) I would personally give this a solid, 7.5 out of 10. It’s not the end of the world if you can’t play, but if you can, it’s a really fun experience.

(Replying here) You got Mario 1 or Mario Wonder ("Mario I" confuses me)? And how'd you think of it? As for the Genesis like 2D Sonic's you have played (between 1, 2, 3K, CD, Advance 1, Mania) how'd you rank from favorite to least favorite? (I wish Advance didn't require me to emulate!) Sorry to hear about TFH! It did get another update but yeah seems it didn't please everyone

Mario Wonder. I have seen Superstars now and... Oof. Very glad I picked Mario. There are even more than the games you listed for classic style so I will simplify. I like S3&K Sonic Advance 3 and Mania the most (probably) and I dislike Sonic 4 the most.

A tragedy for Dream Time is there is no Japanese dub. A lot of the cast sound awful! Rouge being a stand out. The only ones who actually sound good is Tails and Eggman. Mike sounds really good in this game. Far better than the snooze fest that was Frontiers, what with the extra bit menace he's channeling in his voice, which reminded me of his showing in Sonic and Tails R which I'd say is his best performance in years.

How'd you think of the console 2023 games (Superstars and Final Horizon)?

I sadly did not enjoy final horizon. I got up to that last parry trial and never had the will power to get through it. Of what I saw, Amy was a great addition. But all the characters were under baked. Sega should add characters at launch next time and with more content. I thought I was going to play Superstars but I got Mario I instead. I don't regret it

@@TheRealMightyEmperor they recently released the 1.41 patch which fixes the final horizon, knuckle's start up animation is gone and his turning whilst gliding is greatly improved. The pink boxes you homing attack on the trial towers respwan so you can redo that part if you get knocked down without tip toeing around the edge. The combat is a bit subjective as it is now REALLY easy but at the very least it's not impossibly hard as before. Speaking of combat the perfect parry has been extended for a little bit more so the master koco trial won't give you as much of a problem. You should really check it out !, or at the very least you can watch a video on it and all it's improvements.
