Sally would play the piano sonic the guitar who should play the drums 😂
Absolutely loving this What If, and how the Freedom Fighters have to deal with threats from the games, while game Sonic is dealing with the vice versa. But l must say your impressions for Robotnik is just fun to hear. Your Deem Bristow in your previous videos matches the bombastic, threatening, and dramatic flair he always had, but your Jim Cummings is just like the show, you even got his sinister whispery / slimely cackle down.
Thank you 😊 These are really great characters but they don't get a lot of spotlight anymore. I especially enjoyed working with Robotnik and Snivly this episode
Yall crazy man.. a girl kissing a hedgehog is bullsh1t.. and if you think its normal you're weird as fvck! and we have no friendly discussion on that! but of course looking at yall profile pictures i kinda understand that..
I really love analyzing videos like these I’m so so late into the Sonic franchise 😅 But have been an fan back in the day seeing Blaze she is an very interesting character and definitely needs more time to shine as does Silver been seeing him get alot of heat lately. But from what I’ve seen of Blaze I love to see more of her I love her design and character as a whole.
Just make SatAM a canon alternate dimension. Eggman opens a chaos portal and we briefly see the SatAM universe on the other side before Super Sonic closes it.
I love that they included her tarot cards because it was a core part of her classic version and it’s something mentioned throughout the comics as well in various places!
I’d actually like to see SXS Generations bring back Emerl since his lore is heavily intertwined with Shadow’s backstory and they did interact a large amount in Sonic Battle. I’d really like to see him as a boss fight so we could maybe see how his death might’ve affected Shadow since we haven’t really seen much of that at all.
Villains like Mephiles, Infinite, and Black Doom I feel like are characters who aren't portrayed all too well in their respective games, some more than others, but they do have potential to be great characters which is what we really want. Hopefully this game can come to rectify their original portrayals. Also as some who just got off OG generations after beating it for this game. I gotta say that yes THERE NEEDS to be a sonic boss fight for Shadow. God I hope we can play him in the normal game too though, that would just be the cherry on top.
TRUE. Since Sonic has a skin it is possible they could also add Shadow (But he would probably not have Chaos Powers...). If they did, at least my modern playthrough can be a mix of SA1 Sonic and Shadow, with no modern Sonic to be seen. Too bad I still have to play classic Sonic....
@@TheRealMightyEmperor honestly I feel like we should give classic sonic a slide here considering how this game kinda cemented his gameplay's return to the franchise and honestly it's executed pretty good I'd say in this game. I'm not saying he should be in every modern game, he sure overstayed his welcome in forces, but I do think that the 2D gameplay has its place here in this game, even with modern Sonic. Shoot if anything, it's the closest representation we'll get for the rush games, aka the original boost games, and I'd say 2D modern Sonic feels as good as his DS representation more or less.
@@notshardforwork5502 Whenever I replay Generations it is never the Classic Sonic stages. If that effort could me replaced with more modern I would enjoy it more. Its here, it's not offensive, but I do not find it thrilling.
In his defense, Infinite never had a chance to get a somewhat of passable characterization considering what mess Sonic Forces development has been overall. Sonic Forces Overclocked at least did him justice.
yes, it might be interesting, but there are a couple of doubts that it might come true 1. the game can repeat the fate of Sonic Colors Ultimate, that is, it will come out unfinished and broken, and the innovation will be useless 2. there they can again make Shadow an asshole who will kill everyone and say that he is the highest form of life, and this, in my opinion, will not be interesting
the thing im looking forward to that hasnt been shown off yet is the full extent to the Open World map, and the things you can do there, and the Black Arms DNA powers, and the story all cutscenes and how it relates to sonic generations.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor i hope they remove the Shadow at the end of base gens sitting back and saying "you got this, sonic". and have shadow join in along with silver too. OR they can just not have shadow show up at all in that cutscene completely and just explain it away to be he is busy fighting black doom.
@@Kiezly I think Shadow will wrap up his business and show up in time to watch Sonic with his "iconic" line. Unless they really do remaster the Time Eater since that fight was trash.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor what saved sonic frontiers from being a totally bad game was Sega listening to the QA tester’s and playtesters, if we can get QA people to complain about the Bossfight sucking, then we can get it fixed. It just depends on if they’re doing that again.
it would be cool but i doubt they would do this: if they bring back infinite, they bring him back as the Jackal form shadow fought that made him turn into infinite, and shadow shows mercy to him and invites him to be his friend, and therefore preventing the events of Forces, and turning infinite into a good guy rather than disappearing from existance after forces.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor well Sonic Team Japan doesnt respect or care for the IDW canon. the IDW references in frontiers were exclusive to the english dub. and we can make a split in the timeline with Shadow Generations version of the events. so IDW can be if infinite became evil, and SXSG is if he didnt.
I have been understanding how much of a downright stupid idea it is for Shadow to loose all the character developement from SA2, Heroes, and 06 that had made him be soo popular in the early 2000s, and make him be a lame self-obsessed edgeloard who couldn't even be part of Team Dark anymore for too many years. In December 2022 I became a big fan of Shadow when I beat SA2 for the first time ever and found out enough about that Ultimate Lifeform hedgehog, so I very strongly hope that this game turns out to be a sign that that better version of him is finally returning for it and future games too. The plot synopsis of his new story does make that sound possible. PS, Also don't worry that he will have that exaggerated edgeloard personality in the Sonic 3 movie, that annoying problem is less likely to happen in that videogame adaption movie because it has been revealed that Takashi Isuka has been trying to make sure that Paramount will have Shadow be done right in that upcoming feature film!
I have known that the film makers were apart of Shadow 05, so my fingers have been crossed for Shadow in movie 3. I HOPE the model in movie 2 was not final, looks too young and soft for Shadow.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor Me too, I've heard that Jeff Fowler made the cinematic opening cutscene of that 05 game. The design for Shadow in the mid-credits scene was just a copy-pasted model of Movie Sonic which got edited to look kind-of like Shadow because they didn't have enough time to make a better movie design for him then. By now they have likely had enough time to make his model for the movies look more detailed and accurate.
Bringing back Infinite to SXSG is not happening mostly cuz Iizuka confirmed that Shadow Gens is taking place the same time as Sonic Gens. Unless the writers decide to have the Time Eater bring Infinite from the future, I’ll doubt Sega/Sonic Team would go for it since not many are cheering for Infinite to return n that would make no sense cuz wouldn’t Shadow remember Infinite in Forces then lol
The O6 Timeline was reset, and they lost their memories and Silver had a new life, as iblis wasn't around anymore. But YES he is still the same Silver from 06, which anyone playing should know. Its the game characters who lost their memories, not the players. In 06 Blaze sacrificed herself and was reborn in the Sol Dimension, thus preserving her original origin as the princess of that dimension. Over all I'd say they did very well keeping the continuity. 06 still happened. But Sonic and Elise wished to forget it did. But as you said on some level they do still have memories from 06, which is why Crisis City appeared. Cause all the timelines were being shown, including the reset one.
I think you have misunderstood. The question is which series of events are SEGA using as Silver's history. Those presented in Rivals, or those in 06. It has been inconsistent as to which elements are referenced, and overall 06 points of interest have been used more than Rivals.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor I do see what you mean about the inconsistency with the bios, which is too bad, cause they have done enough to have both timelines in his origin. But Sega is an elderly dementia patient who 90% of the time only knows what to do if someone outside the company is there to lead them around by the hand. My suggestion is if you want an official to way in you ask Ian Flinn over here on the Bumblecast @BumbleKingVideos or EvanStanley over on Picarto. They're pretty good about answering.
I like that it's not just a stage remake considering Shadow transitions from Ark to that stage. It seems that the emptiness of the stage, which was a problem with frontiers, has been fixed.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor If Sonic's new working project evolves at the same level and there is no level of reuse from what Mr. Iizuka said, then we will win.
I like how you're not afraid to talk about anything related to Sonic '06 after all this time. I agree if Solaris, or rather more specifically Mephiles, makes a comeback, it'll be a welcome surprise because much of Sonic Generations takes place in the past and it'll also be a sign Sonic Team hasn't totally disregarded '06. I wonder if Mephiles and Black Doom can work together or be enemies to one another.
If I was being super hopeful, I would want both of them to survive through generations so they can each become recurring. I think they will kill black doom again here, so at the very least I want Mephiles.
@@TheRealMightyEmperor Somehow, I don't think Shadow Generations is a major effort, but maybe it'll have a surprise ending revealing that Mephiles somehow escapes the past to survive in the present.
So far the gameplay is quite literally no different from standard generations other then some level design. Also it looks like they're retconning him using any bang-bang's, but confirmed Black Doom is some kind of eldritch being able to warp reality and instantly manifest objects from nothing. Judging from the trailer and the 30 minutes early access, that's also suggesting Shadow is partially an eldritch being as well.
That is not a retcon, he just isn't using them in the game. The chaos control and spear make it different from a generations level right off the bat. Also, Shadow has always been connected to Black Doom. It may not have been visually impressive, but in 05 shadow could merge with harmful Black Arms goo for some short cuts.
I don't think Infinite would make sense, if we are to believe Shadows portion of this Gens remaster occurs before Forces, Shadow would not have encountered him yet
You could bring them back through the Sol dimension, Sally could still be a princess just from a further distance from Blaze’s kingdom. They build a relationship with blaze and could help build her character and give her a group of people who push her forward, like a reverse, where sonic pushes his group forward and inspires them, the freedom fighters could be the ones pushing blaze to be better. And then you can also introduce robotization by having Eggman nega being the one to make it I know he’s either dead or just gone but it could work if done right. The sol dimension allows a great way to introduce them, gives them time to shine before meeting sonic and the rest of the group, and could give blaze her own spin off game
While I do think the aesthetics are amazing for a GBA game (Leaf Forest and Music Plant being my favorite levels), I will say this is arguably the weakest in the trilogy for me. There doesn't seem to be substance behind the speed factor of the gameplay, other than it looking cool, which also doesn't help the later stages and how much they're plagued with voids and BS trap/badnik placements. I never bothered with the special stages and I just used a gameshark to unlock Amy. I don't see why they couldn't have her unlockable like all the other characters. I could easily see her being unlockable after the ice level boss. But no, they have to lock her in a way where I'm guaranteed to never unlock her. Although I don't mind her being a Sonic clone in this game in particular, as her Advance 1 playstyle probably wouldn't be compatible with this game anyway, it's still not worth the torment to get to play as another Sonic but with a pink skin. I know screen crunch has been an issue for all 3 games, but I don't think it was that much of a problem with the first game at least. I do think 3 is a bit better than 2 as a game, even if I actually think the level design and screen crunch is worse there. I do wish these games get a modern HD remaster, as even despite their flaws, I like all 3 of them being their own games in the trilogy and could really benefit some tweaks, including fixing the screen crunch. Advance 2 needing the most tweaks out of the three. I absolutely love the Advance sprites and how animated and full of personality they are. In short, they deserve to be remembered and have their legacy preserved for a modern audience. But sadly, given how the last Sonic remaster turned out, I think the hypothetical Advance trilogy remaster would only do more harm than good. I still love these games a lot though, and I'll continue to play them time and time again. I would like to hear your thoughts on Advance 3, that's if you ever feel like covering that game at some stage.
A remake would probably use 3D models which will take some charm put of the games. I agree that Advance 2 is the weakest of the bunch. I would like to cover advance 3, but as you can see the others didn't do well and they take a lot of time to make
