Hey, everyone! Thanks for all the great and heartfelt comments! I am overwhelmed by the reaction to this video, especially because I was almost positive no one would care about my story and the comments would just be people telling me to stop being so self-centered, or whatever. But nope! You nerds are very thoughtful and pure and lovely! I couldn't ask for a better community! A couple things I wanted to mention: • RU-vid placed mid-roll ads in not ideal places that ruined the viewing experience, so I have taken all mid-rolls out. • I had to do reshoots on this video, so you might notice when my nails are painted and when they aren't, and other fun continuity errors! • I ran into a TON of copyright issues with this video, so I had to horizontally flip the section of Thor talking with Frigga. Apologies if that's jarring to any of you. • And finally, thank you again for all the sweet comments! Not just on my story, but each other's stories. You're all great, and I'm thankful to everyone who watched and shared this video around!

Ty 4 sharing boo 🙌 I literally had a similar dilemma this weekend, it pops up time to time...inspite of my adoring love, commitment & full attention for my teen son-I’ll never be the mother my son deserves or provide him the family he needs, no matter my efforts, prayers, I’ll never be the parent like his friends, teachers, or the elite academic , successful full white-collar citizen however I can continue to try to be the best version of me even though it’s the single solo parent/artist/struggling across the board. * there is no joy without gratitude * stay grateful for your family. I only have my son and that’s a weight no child should bare, the only person I can turn to is me. So they saying is true...what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger 🙏🏼🌏 The Artist is the child who Survived ✌️

Thor's greatest moment in the movie was holding two weapons, then tossing Mjolnir to Cap because he wants the bigger one. It showed that he stopped getting validation from Mjolnir perceiving him as worthy, and instead picked the weapon that he had fashioned, as if he's telling Mjolnir that it's not worthy of him. Great character growth moment that no one mentions.

I've heard of authors reading online comments about their work saying, "Yeah, sure, I totally meant that deep and introspective point that warranted a thesis paper miss Ph. D grad student. .> Yup! Always meant that to be there!" I feel like this is one of those kind of perspectives. Not WRONG per se just reading too far in to a funny gag and his line "No, no, give me that. You have the little one." underlines as it's a silly bit of vanity. If Odin's line about the power being his all along means that Mjolnir-Thor = Led Zepplin-Thor but Thanos beat the piss out of Zepplin-Thor while that same Thanos with the *INFINITY GAUNTLET* couldn't overpower Stormbreaker-Thor than Stormbreaker's the objectively better weapon. Thor ain't gonna let Cap have his best toys. He might be an amazing awesome example of legitimate character progression but you can't make a leopard change their spots. Thor still spent 1500 years as the Perfect-in-Every-Way Jock. Infinity War only broke the perfect-in-every-way part. Maybe his (objectively funny/charming) boneheadedness he's picked up since Waititirok is from too many Hulk punches to the noggin and we may love him for it but under all of it our boy's still a jock.

the great irony is: HE IS A FAILURE do you really thinks that JRR Tolkien or CW lewis cried themseves about expectatives in the trenches of WWI? do you really think that simple men that jumped in the ocean to find new lands and died cried about expectatives and ansiety? of not being a milionaire? do you really think that the great men that built timeless roads, monuments and cathedrals really cryed in a youtube video? This man did not for a sense of acomplishment, or glory, but for duty, for love of country, family and religion. God i hate people that feel sorry for themselves, ungratefull bastards, imagine this b1tch3es working 14 hours in a mine to raise 05 children, and yes people did that with a fking smile in their faces.

@@Avoloch how about you shut up and mind your own business? Not everyone has the same ability to look death in the face and come out with their head held high. Some people don't have thick skin, but that doesn't mean we're less human. It makes us more human. Humans were made to have complex emotions and different personalities and we're allowed to cry and be upset at things because while some people may see this as just a little hiccup in their plans, for other people events like this are the straw that breaks the camel's back. But that doesn't make Scott or OP or whoever you're talking about any less of a man or any less human. They looked pain and trauma in the face and they grieved, and they felt awful, but they continue to push for a better outcome. IDK what you're dealing with in your life to make you talk like this to people, but take your toxic humanity and shove it.

Here's the truth, Scott. When it comes to comic-book RU-vid videos, yours are the only ones I anticipate. The only ones I'm eager to see. The only ones I don't roll my eyes at. The only ones I watch all the way through. The only ones with the deep insights and surprising connections that true, unapologetic comic-book geeks can really grok. The only ones that MEAN anything. Your wit is almost always on the mark. And the videos that get personal--like this one, and the one about Stan--are far and away the best of their kind. So don't sell yourself short, pal. Was part of a big exciting wave of home grown young uk comics artists... but just missed the cut off date to get in with publishers because suddenly the financial crisis hit and they all stopped taking submissions and stuck with who they already had, a lot of them only months older than me. It was devastating. I tried to break in for years on a path that didn't exist any more thinking my ability was the problem and blaming myself. But I'm okay, I got through it and you will too. Get help, look for other routes and never ever let yourself believe you're only valuable if you're world famous (seriously most people on the street would struggle to name a famous living illustrator or designer) and have loads of money (even my "Well known" friends don't). @@pious83 Hulk yes... Thor not so much. Bit of missguided tone, but the core theme is intact. The Stormbreaker stuff didn't bother me at all. After mastering his powers without trainig wheels, why shouldn' he get back a weapon tp further boost himself? To me Infinity War was the best Thor movie by a long shot.(1. IW, 2. Avengers, 3. Dark World, 4. Endgame, 5. Ultron, 6. Thor, 7. Ragnarok). Keeping a perfect balance of seriousness and comedy with a laser focus aim on the edge of total mental breakdown. Very intense, relatable and entertaining. Endgame is a weid beast. It's greatest asset AND weakness are both being in the MCU. Been setup to deliver great moments and payoffs what it undoubtedly does. But the setting starts from such a 'darkest hour' point worth exploring, witch done right just doesn't fit with the overall MCU action-comedy tone, so in order to appeal to larger audience and be tonally consistent with the MCU it couldn't be consistent with itself, resulting in the awkwardest jokes. While this execution hit Thor's serious situation hard on times, his journey on the conceptual level is great. Hulk just got butchered. On home realease I'll always skip his dab segment for sure. The cringe is unbearable. Strangly, how Ragnarok handled him too is the main reason, Rank that movie way lower than the majority.

That's not the point, tho. Ragnarok's message is destroyed by Infinity War and Endgame's events- Thor doesn't need a hammer to be a god, and who he is has more value than the weapon he wields? NAH, he needs a hammer! Thing is, Thor has numerous powers in the comics that Infinity War could have brought in, including the Odin-Force, the pure god-energy that runs through all of his children like it did him. Thor COULD have entered Infinity War's final battle with a deeper understanding of himself and who he is and where he really comes from as a person and as a god and some new powers to match, but instead the writers defaulted to "Give him Beta Ray Bill's hammer because Thor is the hammer guy lol". This video hit surprisingly close to home for me. I have constant anxiety about living up to expectations from both my friends and my family. But I can never show it because no one expects me to be the one to wear my heart on my sleeve. I won't even tell these things to the one person I care about most in the world because I don't want to worry or scare her. The thought of opening up to a person terrifies me because everyone thinks I'm closed off, so it's a never ending cycle. But seeing that other people go through similar things that I experience gives me hope. So from the bottom of my heart Scott, thank you. Even if you never read this thank you for showing me that I'm not alone in my struggles.

As a depression (and other issues) sufferer, I can't say how much I love this video and agree. I was so angry with how people reacted to it and complained when watching Thor's journey just from Infinity War to the beheading part of Endgame had me go "yes, yes, that's it. When things just pile on and on, when no matter what I do doesn't seem to be enough, sometimes I'll do that one thing which is too little too late in anger because I don't know what else to do!" - What more can I lose? - I went for the head. The most painful lines in the entire MCU for me. Painful and personal. And to mirror you, Scott. I was always the one who was supposed to go to one of the big universities, get a great degree and be something "great." I was the smart one. The one who had the world at his fingertips. And yeah, it never worked out that way. And over a decade later, I'm pretty much still struggling with that not-happened legacy.

as someone who also suffers from anxiety and depression i appreciate your take on thor and know that many people loved the scene with frigga. However i personally did not appreciate how the character was treated in both infinity war and endgame. I felt like taika really got the character while the russo's thought they did and also tried to have him be a comic relief and i found it really inappropriate as he is the character who is suffering the most after infitiy war and is clearly struggling with depression, ptsd and alchoolism. I am glad that many people found his portrayal comforting and inspiring but personally i felt mocked and hurt. I sincerely hope that taika continues to do a great job with the character with thor 4.

I'm so glad that someone else has pointed out the absolute beauty that is the Frigga and Thor scene. I'm in a similar position in my life, but with less physical consequences. I started working for my father a few years ago and was (mostly accidentally) tasked with marketing the business online. Since then we've launched a handful of products and projects and not a single one has even made so much as a cent. Now it's years later and every time the family talks about financial hardships I feel like it's my fault for not making something that works. Of course, this is going to take time (or finally a success) to fix, but I feel a lot like Infinity War Thor right now. When that scene came on, and she told him that everyone fails at who they're supposed to be, I almost cried. I mean, I would've if the comedic relief wasn't so effective. It means so much to see my favorite Avenger get told that he doesn't have to be the hero, and that failure is okay. I'm *so freaking glad* she admits that he failed, but says that it's okay anyway. I'm glad that I'm not alone out there, in loving this scene and feeling that pressure. You've definitely earned a new subscriber. I look forward to every video you put up from now on. Keep creating, Scott. ~Alec.

He leaned in infinity war that he cannot forget what he’s learned, and even succeeding in endgame doesn’t help him, it makes him feel worse. Holy crap. This video, taking about one of my favorite “funny” characters from a “silly superhero movie” absolutely wrecked me. It’s a good thing I wasn’t planning on doing too much today, because I’m going to be watching this at least 3 more times. Pulling out those moments of Thor’s intense vulnerability and putting them back-to-back… it really highlights the tragedy of his story in the MCU. Not only that but reflecting it to your own personal story made it so much more reflective of mine. Thank you for the work you did on this video, and especially the openness you had in sharing. I’m struggling right now and I know, I do, that things change and get better. But when you’re in the middle of it… it’s so hard to see that. So I deeply appreciate it.
