I remember as a kid being really touched that he wished me luck in surviving our 1v1 so genuinely. He died well

Particularly enjoyed this quest on my vampire playthrough. There's something so cathartic about tracking down this wolf in sheep's clothing as a wolf in similar garb, showing him the reality of the "quarry" he claims to hunt.

I never knew you could fail this quest. I never thought that Carius's warning that the player only had a day at most to get to Raynil in the cave was literal as quests in the game never really seem time dependent. Even though I've done all these quests myself, I've really enjoyed your Oblivion videos!

I must say, the way you talk and roleplay in these videos got really hooked me on. It even envokes a deep feeling inside me to replay oblivion again

I remember wondering whether or not Raynil was a vampire himself the first time I did this quest, mostly because of the mentioned dead beggars that were found in shallow graves _before_ Raynil killed Bradon. I ended up reasoning that probably not and that Raynil just killed them beforehand and faked the murders as vampire attacks to establish the fear of a vampire in the community (and especially guards), before he marched in to kill and frame Bradon. Because evidently Raynil had to also visit the Lirrian house beforehand to plant the dead beggar in the basement so there's already an established methodology of using the poor paupers in *faking* vampiric attacks. And then it's also likely that if Raynil had been a vampire, it would've been brought up in the quest itself somehow.

I never knew the timer on this quest was actually active and that you actually had to kill Raynil within a day! I've played this quest easily 50 times too 😂

Is there an Add-On where Vampirism spreads in Oblivion? If you for example bite an begger and infect him then 3 days later he will be Vampire himself and can infect other NPC. This could be a big Quest

As much of a slimy piece of garbage Raynil is, I can almost respect the fact that he's willing to talk things out with you and give his point of view about how he has no choice but to fight back for a chance at freedom. He just seems so unbothered.

The password for the Amulet is pretty dumb. The thief could have easily said the word accidentally near the amulet. Especially since it is the name of the group he was part of.

But... Why would you leave your journal in a tavern? Why bring it at all?

Usually Oblivions quests are well written, this is pretty bad, like how dumb would these guards be in real life to let this happen. I know its a game but this just stands out as a poorly written quest
