Aegon should've bid his time or listened to his sister. They didn't have a chance all they had to do was wait a while allow Maegor to deal with the faith militant and enact his cruel will on the people force the lords to come begging to him and give himself time to prepare a war with his uncle. But Aegon was too desperate and was still an impulsive young man looking to quickly solidify support from the powerful lords of westeros.

@@bensonfang1868 Well Aegon could have become Maegors heir since he was having a hard time having children. All he had to do was make peace with his Uncle. Thanks for the support. His potential is definitely a large part of what makes it so tragic. @jaredcurtis3080
@jaredcurtis3080 2 года назад
@@WorldOfWesteros He was brought up ok? He was a VERY bad person, AND quite possibly mad. He was brought up on Dragonstone by Visenya as the Prince of Dragonstone. He was trained by Gawen Corbray, a fearsome swordsman. His mother gave him Dark Sister at 13. When Aenys became king, he admitted he wasn't nearly the warrior Maegor was and presented him with THE OTHER Targaryen Valyrian sword, Blackfyre, and proclaimed they would rule together. TWO VALYRIAN SWORDS, THE two Targaryen Valyrian swords, both for Maegor. After Maegor helped put down a rebellion in the Eyrie, Aenys named him Hand of the King. Then Maegor took a second wife, and turned some of the Faith against the Targaryens. Two years later, the Faith rebelled against Aenys.

@@jaredcurtis3080 technically the faith only rose against Aenys after he bethorted his kids together, thus breaking the vow Aegon the conqueror made to the faith (that incest was no longer going to be practiced by the Targaryens) when he became their king.
