I listened to Road Apples then Fully Completely when I was driving today. It’s really remarkable how he cut the affectations out of his delivery and started singing mostly ‘straight’ for the rest of his career. Good choice imho

No vibrato here … it’s just Gord being gord on the mic 🎤

I mean really, the only part of this band that isn't basic is the vocals. That's why Gord was a natioanal treasure. His unique vocals can make anything sound cool.

Once again, I can't pin it down, but I want to hear more for some reason... this may sound crazy, but if you took everything "raw" that they do, and made it "atmospheric" (including the vocal performance), I actually think you almost get Coldplay as a result...🤔

If you think he is captivating when he sings you really need to listen to his interviews. The man was brilliant but not boisterous.

Their music is really drivey. It just goes and goes. Drops out builds up but just keeps driving.
