The government needs to start setting up regulations on how they treat people and what is legal to put in a contract. A lot of this sounds so one sided to the agency and is simply abuse. The modeling industry is beginning to change and this needs to as well. It's never okay to treat a human being likes an object with rights.

Bcs idols are supposed to love their fans only, who give them their living. Not their GFs. Imagine you buy tons of albums, spend lotta money to meet someone's boyfriend for 5 mins. Every fans knows deep within that they dont support their idols for their music. Music indeed play important rules, but not the #1 reason. Dating is ok in k-pop if youre established or not an idol (artists). 2PM and SNSD dated, BigBang dated or even married, IU dated. Hyuna dated, which is ok for her but not his bf, rookie group w/ smaller fanbase which still growing. Feel bad for his team. He got the pussy but the rest of the team are left with undecided career.

Very interesting series....but I do feel like I would want to know more what YOU personally went through... like did you have a easy time adjusting or did you feel like it was difficult.. Did you meet people you connected with while you were training? what was your contract like? How did your style change? BUT if it’s too personal i understand and respect that. Or if this is more geared towards people who might want to be a trainee..that make sense.
@soobeanie
@soobeanie 6 лет назад
Hey no problem~ To answer those questions most of the things I stated were personal experiences except the dating/phone inspection/ my schedule was different. But as to your questions, I did have trouble adjusting like getting used to the new environment and also language and cultural barriers. I did met a couple of people I connected with but I think that was after the debut because I got to know more people. My style changed in the kind of brands/fit/ vibe changed. I was always a casual clothes type of girl but I think when I was trainee my style shifted to more of a bolder look/ a look were you try to stand out a little bit. At the same time it had to be comfortable enough to practice in.

I have so much respect for trainees and idols. The stuff that they have to endure sounds so miserable. Do some of the rules ease up the longer you train? Because the trainees that train for a long time like 10 years not being able to talk to guys and follow these strict rules for that long seems miserable. I can’t imagine doing that. Plus some of these rules are still in effect when they debut. Also, I know this is a weird question butI’m curious about how girl trainees and idols deal with periods. For me periods kill me lol like I can’t function properly on my period. Do they put them on birth control or something to stop them? I know I got a birth control shot that stopped mine. So I wonder if that’s what they do. Thank you for this series. It’s so interesting to hear an what goes on behind the scenes!!
@soobeanie
@soobeanie 6 лет назад
jenna b As for it easing up in some cases there are some things that ease up. As for the period it’s usually something you have to deal with on your own but if you have severe pain sometimes you can take it a little easy on practice but like I said it’s different for each companyz

With how technology, social media, self-expressionism, and entrepreneurship is booming now (and expected to grow in the future) with patience and effort it is *definitely possible to succeed in music on your own* without the BS that companies put you through. Not only will you get most of your income, but you will also have *creative freedom.* You'll be able to enjoy doing what you've wanted to do all along: music. The whole point of being an "artist" is to *express yourself creatively.* The way the industry seems to function right now goes against that. It's more like turning people into animatronics -- animated robots, rather than letting them actively communicate with people through music. It's like forcing a painter to paint exactly what he / she sees in a photograph rather than "how" he / she personally sees it. There's no expression in doing this and it's the most suffocating feeling. *Artists need to breathe to make art.* Artists thrive on self-expression. When I hear about *the suicides, the deaths, the insane dieting, and depression* that kpop celebs and trainees go through, it's heartbreaking. The way the industry treats these people by depriving them of basic human rights and giving them constant mental abuse is disgusting. Driving someone towards suicide and psychologically abusing someone *are crimes that stands in court. But the industry dodges responsibility* for this through its contracts. There should be some kind of workers' Union or organization to be on top of that since it's literally driving people to their graves. Anyway, *with the freedom you have now, enjoy it and be the person you want to be.* Be happy and live your own life being as free as you possibly can. You have my, and all your other subscribers' and fans', support. Go for it and don't look back. Stay tough, hang in there, and *keep singing* 💞💕✨👍😊

I plan to do this in the future. Instead of auditioning for companies, I'll just post my music on youtube or whatever for fun and if it works then it works but if it doesnt then it doesnt, I just like music a lot anyway. Personally I've though about becoming a trainee and its not really something I desire, but if I did then the part I would desire is being in a group, but you can do that without really needing to be in a company. I love my creative freedom and wouldnt wanna give it up to be given cheesy songs i cant put my own creativity and thought into. :)

Sounds exactly like forced labour for little pay. They know how bad these young people want to be idols so they take advantage of that. I think most people wanting that lifestyle know of these hardships so it’s easy to say to them, “ You have no right to complain, it’s what you wanted.” But it doesn’t make these things right or warranted. These situations can seriously impact ones long term health, especially when these bodies are going through puberty and major physical and hormonal changes. I hope the companies change, I think some of these things are ok within reason but to this extent, it’s abuse. You should never have control over another’s personal life unless it’s endangering them and their group, dieting should be done healthily and under a doctors supervision if underage, and forcing long practices unless they absolutely want to should never be done as it compromises the persons immune system and muscle healing time. How can they expect perfection when they’re training these hungry and exhausted people? An empty stomach and a tired brain doesn’t help. And forced weigh ins are practically begging them to have long lasting severe body image issues. I know image is extremely important since it is what initially attracts new fans, but for the love of god, do it in a healthy way. Trainees train for such a long time so that’s enough time to shape them into what they want, no need to be so harsh and use unhealthy methods.

Did you personally get into much trouble because Blady never managed to 'Break Even' with the company? I see you 'honored' your contract till the end. How did other members managed to break their contracts? Did you keep in touch with any member besides Coco? ps: On the last comment I made, I had subscribed before watching any videos. But now I've seen them all =) I even liked the shoe videos. My suggestion is, keep bringing in friends and do fun stuff, like challenges and things like that. And more Q&As please! ps2: I aways liked your facial expressions, Tina! Don't be afraid to show them all. Fighting!!

Andy Hey thanks for watching. Ending a contract mmm it’s different. there are many cases and ways but usually its your last option. And it takes a while to get to that decision. I will try to talk about the break even processes through my series soon! I keep in contact with my recent members. And thank you for the suggestions I agree with you^^

you should do a serie about the good things about being trainee or idol or I´m going start thinking that idols and trainnes sufers alot If I was rich and if I had a chance to be a CEO I would treat my group like they were my own daughters/sons what are the other Blady members doing ? Giru doesn´t update her instagram for about 1 year do you know news about her?

bruno silva There are good things too of course but I did want to inform people on just some of my experiences too. The members are all well. Your series is kind of eye-opening and it really opened up another aspect of the Kpop industry that many us are still unaware of. I've been into Kpop for a long time now, but its a first for me to hear about the many things you talked about in your series. Thanks for deciding to do this series ❤️ it's really informative and I appreciate you sharing your experiences with us as well ❤️ I have mad respect for you, the idols, and all other trainees out there. I'm so thankful for this video and other videos like this on RU-vid. When I was really young, I desperately wanted to be a kpop star, and I even tried to convince my mom to let me become a kpop star (LOL). My mom said that the kpop lifestyle was short-lived and she was adamantly against it. We fought over it for a really long time, but I'm SO THANKFUL my mom was strict and levelheaded. Now, I'm in my second year of law school, and I feel so blessed that I can explore my own dreams and aspirations. Thank you for sharing this video!

I'm just curious, I have heard about this no dating and random phone inspections on other videoes. Has any Idol ever thought of changing a boy's name on their phone to a girl's name to prevent from getting caught talking to a boy? And maybe keep a secret note or something saying what alias goes to which person or just remember it in one's head? Or is there something on Korean Cellphones that reveals if the other user is male or female that is unchangeable? Or are companies so tech savvy that they can find out if a name was changed or something? Just something that popped in my head.

Lilly Bee he probably did the same thing that everyone who wants to date in the industry do, got caught by the managers, then the CEO found but didn't care and couldn't kick him out cause he's already really big and popular in the industry and even if it got out to the fandom, it didn't matter cause a huge part of the fandom supported them.

You're paying for a debt - all investments made by the company. You're technically getting paid, but your salary goes to your debt. Essentially, it's like you loaned and the collateral is you/trainee.
@fanisafea3485

the training itself is a loan.so once u make money u pay it first.. i heard that big company like big3 and some other one didnt do that,like when u become their trainee company investing on you and doesnt take charge for all money they spend for vocal training,dance,etc etc.and when u debut and make money you get your payment right away

I don't get it.. why would companies tell girls to go on diets but not give them the money to have a healthy diet? Can't they see that there's problem with that? It's just ridiculous... I mean what do they expect girls to do? 😕 Do they expect them to get money from their parents?
@soobeanie

If they really need to diet they would maybe order a salad plan for you or like a diet meal for a day. Or for us since I wAs in a dorm they would buy was chicken breast/ eggs/fruits sometimes so we can eat that except then we would not get money for the days we did have food in the dorms

The thing with them not allowing boy's phone numbers is kinda silly. What if you don't text people but instead use apps like Discord or Skype to talk to people or whatever similar app Korea has? How are they going to figure out who on your friend is a man or women? People don't often use their real names for their usernames. So do they make you delete these apps then? Also, are you allow to play mobile games on your phone or do they consider that social media too?

dnwalkingoneggshells wow thats a good question had me thinking. More than the good and bad I think it was very very different than I imagined to be for the good and bad.
