WOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... This 15 minutes is worth more than all the hours of textbook reading + all the typical lectures that I heard out there. Thank you. My humble pranam to you. This video truly evolved my way of looking at the models. Spot on.
I have already spent 5 hours learning all models - AND THIS IS BY FAR THE ABSOLUTE BEST (albeit underrated because of the RU-vid algo) EXPLANATION ON COMMUNICATION MODELS EVER.
Thank you so much. you have made my life so much better. am now able to understand communication skills into intercultural communication. Watching from Zambia central Africa 🙂
sir, this is by far the best explanation of communication models on Internet. can you please suggest me a book where I can find all communication models ever exist
How about this: Imagine a traditional school classroom. The desks are all lined up in columns and rows facing the front, with the instructor's projection screen and whiteboard up front. How does this setting suggest how people sitting in the desks are supposed to see themselves? The person up front? How should they act and communicate with each other? Now imagine a coffee shop with patio seating for couples. Same questions? Now imagine a tailgate party outside a football stadium before the game. Same questions? Those settings provide public cues. Does this make sense? Thanks for the question!
Hi, Marion! Nope, they're different. Rosenblatt's is a "reader-response" theory of how meaning is derived from reading a text. Barlund's theory is more along the lines of what I explain here.
