Took the egr out of my vw transporter to clean it as I do a lot of short journeys it was choked as was the manifold tried to start it and it won't at this point I panicked and ordered a new egr while waiting spoke to a mechanic friend who told me to keep on turning it over which I did with a jumper pack it eventually started sounding like a old tractor and smoking like a steam train then it settled down and has run good for last 2 years I think a lump of carbon had been sucked in blocking the air good luck
clean the EGR valve not just the pipe remove the egr and use the tool to move the EGR with bidirectional controls if the tool has the option 👍🏽 make sure it’s moving 👌🏽
That wasnt the egr valve you cleaned just an egr pipe? Id imagine the valve is stuck in the open position. Is common to cause a non start or cut out whilst running
I owned a 2014 Doblo the issues you are facing, shows the same pattern as mine did which turned out to be the injectors, all four were sent for a leak of test, all failed horribly. 4 new injectors (Bosch) £800 plus VAT the injectors are not coded and straight forward to switch. The high carbon build up is from the injectors, IMO. Good luck!
Do yourself a favour once you get it running sell it, and try and get your money back , you will have nothing but grief with those vans they are just crap, I would stay well clear in future , i did warn you about these vans a while back
