Actually, the pyrofuse typically fires along with your airbags. If those are not deployed then the pyrofuse most likely is ok. Also, the latex gloves won't help you much if you short the circuit. You should ware proper rubber gloves for handling high DC voltage.

Sorry this needs to be taken down , you cannot do physical inspections at salvage dealers for obvious reason, good information, however no disrespect but there are to many people promoting salvage companies and other items ie tools,scanners and the like because they are getting something out of it, this has a major impact on the industry, driving prices up by giving the public a false perception.

question out of topic Paul , am after dashboard repair company , being looking online and I came across tow companies here in the north west , airbag team (Rotherham / airbag service (bolton), I have watched your vw dashboard replacement video , you did say that you had to sent that dashboard with deployed air bag to company to get it repaired , I would appreciate your help Paul if you can let me know that you had any past experience with airbag team as I did drop my dashboard to them last week and still waiting for them to get back to me , they did say will take them one week to get it repaired !!! still waiting

Great video, a friend has an ID3 an it’s a problem child, your information is of great interest.

That top dashboard panel is a known source of rattles on the ID3 and the Cupra Born. Basically on poorer road surface the panel can resonate as there is a small amount of play in the clips. For anyone who has that issue (which can come and go depending on temperature) placing compressible self-adhesive foam tape between the clips can solve it.
