Hi Mark, I am working on a series at the moment (we have filmed a few episodes) as a co-lead and have just shared your technique with our lead and director/producer. We are so excited to put your process into action on Monday before filming our next episode in a week to see how well this is going to elevate the story we tell our audience about the relationship between the lead and I, and also our characters individually. Thanks so much for sharing your 'discovery' (as I heard you explain it on another video) - I'm feeling super positive about it and where it will take me as an actor.

Mark, thank you for your words! I´ve seen some quoted directors talk about how they direct actors. No one has your approach on this theme. They never go so deep inside. Each person, each actor, is a complex world, a complex mind. We do not think the same way. We do not feel the same way. There are billions of human beings on this planet and each one think differently and has it´s own world inside. You are a human being too, and you know what I´m talking about. Lee Strasberg technique, The Method, don´t work for everybody. Meisner technique the same way, and the same to other kind of known methods of teaching actors. In my humble point of vew, the plasticity of your method it´s the most natural and it fits every mental state of any moment of the actors. Thank you. I will contact you for sure. Sorry my english. I´ts not my mother language. :-)

@@dannyboy4805 Danny Boy (is that your real name) thank you so much for your kind words and your astute observations about the many techniques for working with actors. One clear diffeence between my techniques (The Travis Technique) is that it is NOT an acting techinque (like the Method, and Meisner and all the others. The Interrogation Process is a Director's Tehnique that requires the willing participation of the actors. It is a collaboration between a director and the actors. It overrides and nullifies the dictatorial approach that many directors use ... and it requries the director to "enter the sandbox" with the actors and to do something that frightens most directirs - improvise with the actors. It levels the playing field while it robs the director of the controls that most directors want, it robs the actors of the controls that most actors want ... and it gives the cotnrol to the Characters which is where it belongs. Danny Boy, I am enjoying this conversation. Let's keep it going .. and maybe meet online someday.

Carolyn left Robbie a long time ago. Who she left him for, will devastate him. He can never truly get her back. What he clings to is but a husk of the one he loves. They both have grown over the years, but she is the only one who has evolved. While Robbie still lives in his college memories.

You could question who has really evolved, Carolyn or Lester. Yes, he's trying to go back to his former self while she is forcing herself into a more inauthentic form of herself. So who is really evolving?

I see it as both of them being caterpillars. One wants to become the butterfly the other wants to remain the same. Transformation of self is her evolution, while he is stagnated. Experiences will show you what you want by seeing what you had. Some want more and others are content.

Hi Mark, Do you have any tips for actors when preparing a monologue? For example before they come onto set or on stage to perform their monologue, what’s the best way in your opinion that an actor can get into their character as much as possible that doesn’t need another person for assistance or collaboration in the way that the Interrogation Technique requires?
