The Tremeloes are an English beat group founded in 1958 in Dagenham, Essex, and still active today. They were part of the British Invasion, where they grew to prominence.
A shout out to anyone who listening on this Monday, May 28, 2024. Does this song bring back great memories of carefree days and simpler times to all who are listening? 👍👍 Gosh! Love this song! It's so full of energy. The upbeat mood that it brings is beautiful. I'm ready to grab my hubby and dance to it. 😎😎 Miss those times terribly! 😢 Wishing y'all a happy and safe summer! 😎😎
During the summer, my little transistor radio was my constant companion until the 9 volt battery ran down and we lived out in the country. Listened to this music all day.
From South Africa: We used to "steal" my grandfather's transistor radio while he was working outside on the farm and listened to LM radio (who were broadcasting from Mozambique - Lorenzo Marques that is now called Maputo). We also listened until the PM9-battery went flat, then we put it in the coolest oven of the big AGA coal stove to "recharge" a bit. I remember how cross my grandfather was when he wanted to listen to the news and the battery's power was completely exhausted! We lived about 40km from town and could only drive there once a week! Petroleum was (and still is!) a VERY expensive commodity and couldn't be stored on the farm, unlike diesoline for the tractors and Lister enjin used for lighting.
Allan was family, grew up around all the trems, Was so upset when Allan passed, then recently Dave M, RIP lads. This group brought years of happiness to so many people, great Band
Here in America, the only songs we heard from them was this one and Silence is Golden, so naturally most of us thought that they faded into obscuritry after that. I was just listening to this reminsicing- I was around 13 when this came out. I started looking at other videos and I couldn't believe they had a string of hits in other countries. There aren't very many articles about them online. Someone should write a book.
First song of them that I heard was Silence Is Golden. Heard it around 15 years ago or so. Since that time, I just love this band. Great songs, their vibe, the energie. Everything.
Here in Ireland,in 1967,i was 15....both myself and my mum loved this song....such a nice bunch of lads, just like the Hollies,Manfred Mann, the Bee Gees and Hermans Hermits....fab music
I was young at that time, I remember this song well. I loved listening to it on the home radio. Great memories! Congratulations and thanks for playing it.
I was 10 years of age when the brilliant tremolos release this. Many decades on it still superb. Long live our contribution being the best to the world English music and some of you literature is second to none. Next to some of ours of course 👍🙂🇮🇪
Yes,even an Irishman has to concede that Britpop was always the best in the world, especially late sixties, eighties, and to a lesser extent, the seventies
I really love this! I was about 8 yrs old when this was out, believe it or not I was so in love with an older boy on the street, but it wasn’t meant to be no matter how I tried! I still love and think about him to this day🤷♀️
Julene Pegher, hold on to those memories and feelings, they are precious. I was 9 years old when this song came out and now at 64 years of age, I still love it and the memories of unrequited Love It conjures up. 😀

I love the way that song is portrayed they sing it in such a way to tell you that this is the proper way to deal with these kind of problems laugh about them and move on
I heard an interview a few years back, forgot who it was, but they said everyone wanted to tour with the Tremeloes back then because they were nuts and so much fun to be around. You can really see it in this video.

In the midnight, moonlight hour hes walking along that lovely mile and every time I do I Keep seeing this picture of you Here comes my baby, here she comes now, and it comes as no surprise for me with another guy Well here comes my baby, here she comes now Walking with her love, with her love, that's oh-so fine never to be mine, no matter how I try You never walk alone and your forever talking on the phone I tried to call you names but every time it comes out the same (Whistles beat) bravo
Great song, even after 56+ years this performance is amazing! The rhythm guitarist Alan Blakley (RIP) was the father of English actress Claudie Blakely.
