Does anyone know when this was recorded as Chip said it was their new record but it was recorded by Brian Poole and the Tremeloes years before. Chip has the most fantastic voice - so clear and beautiful
@@peterchecksfield9958 Not my cup of tea. Never heard of these songs in North America, I wouldn't go to their concerts. As far as I am concern they have only 3 songs worth hearing none is their original.
@@peterchecksfield9958 I don’t consider UK scoring valid. It is bias to British musicians. Those songs hurt my ears. i only recognize US billboards. You are still wrong as fas as I am concerned.
Brians version as indeed The Tremeloes were both covers, the song was written in the late 50s I believe for Buddy Holly,it was released in 59 as a b-side on a Crickets record. Check it out I think its possibly the best of them all.

@@deb9622 Totally makes sense Deb, I think this is one of those rare songs that sounds good whoever sings it,of course The Crickets as you correctly say sounds of its time ie the 50s and Brian and The Tremeloes versions have the 60s feel to them.A great song performed by various great artistes,all stand the test of time and enjoyed and appreciated by us all.
