Thanks so much..! 😂 It's always difficult to know whether to post the failures but I think worth it in the end as otherwise people get the impression it's easy and 100% successful. All the best to you.. g
oh my goodness WAS THAT A SURPRISE at the end of the video!!! I screeched in excitement 😆 and the irony of it! Just shows you! Looking forward to what else you capture!!! 😘
Another great and interesting video.sometimes.things never turn out the way you want them but the photo of the little owl has got to be worth the effort ..hope the puppy will be ok...👍👍👍👍
Hi George, the little owl was a nice surprise and honestly it gives a good variety to the content of the videos. Also I wanted to ask you if you have seen any cranes in Kerkini. A while ago I saw another photographer who I think operates in the area, posting photos of cranes in twitter.
Hi Marieta and thank you. Yes the Cranes are here.. although they will probably be leaving soon if they haven't already done so.. on the other side of the lake from where I am but usually they are too far away on the delta to photograph or film. I have been thinking for a couple of years now about how I might approach them to get closer images.
@@GeorgeSBlonsky I see. The photographs I’ve seen were quite far too which confirms what you are saying. I just thought I’d toss around some ideas for future videos. 😃
I always welcome fresh ideas..! The difficulty with the Cranes is that the area they can usually be found in is very very big, open and flat with nowhere to hide so approaching them is very difficult. Do let me know if there is something you would like to see me film/photograph and I will do my best to make a video..!
@@GeorgeSBlonsky well, owls are a favorite subject of mine that is why I responded so favorably to your video. As a subject they are fascinating, although they can be difficult to photograph. In general though, I would recommend trying to showcase the wildlife of the area and not just focus on the birds. I mean the pelicans are great and kerkini was made famous because of them, but for people who enjoy wildlife videos, any kind of subject will give variety in your content as I said in my first comment. Also it is nice to see what the area has to offer. 😃
Thanks Marieta.. I too love owls but like you say they are difficult to photograph. If you look at my library of videos you will only see the pelicans once a year (usually Jan/Feb) when I run my workshops and I have to promote these as this is a major source of income for me.. I earn almost nothing from making videos on RU-vid (so far this year about €50). The rest of the year I am making videos about Jackals, Wildcats, White Storks, Black Storks, Susliks, Kingfishers and many more. At the moment I am working on a project for the jackals but this takes a long time to complete with many visits in to the field.
Thank you for the video, and well done for looking after the puppy. I hope it does well. Is there any way we can contribute toward the cost of the veterinary treatment (if we want to)? I'm sure many of us would like to be a part of its recovery. Cheers.
Thank you so much Martyn.. that is such a generous gesture..! I don't have anything specific set up so the easiest way to contribute would probably be through my Paypal account: @geopictorial or geopictorial@gmail.com and I'll make sure any funds given are spent on the pup... you've totally blown me away ! my very best wishes to you and thanks again.. g
I can't thank you enough Martyn and that's not a small contribution..! You just paid for his first round of vaccinations which he's getting tomorrow..! 🙏❤️
