Remarkable.... when I hear this song I immediately get taken back to a time and place in 1966. Seems like it was yesterday. I was so fortunate to have experienced this. What a great song and time it was. The Troggs made their mark in history.
Im 74 was a young girl in.66 never fotgot the lad i loved then memories dont leave like people do my grown up family laugh at me when i still mention his name 😂
WP:"Presley's music has influenced Iggy Pop and won praise from Bob Dylan. The rock critic Lester Bangs called the Troggs the "godfathers of punk" and compared Presley to Marcel Proust. Presley appears as a character in Steve Erickson's novel These Dreams of You (2012)."
I just heard this song. Holy moly. Didn't know this was from the 60s. It can easily pass for the 90s for the 2000s as well. Now that's called timeless. And of course the wordings. Immediately sent to someone I wanna dance with.
The 60s era brought us tons of the best bands and singers , without a doubt it was a fantastic time to be around , These guys were so lovely lots of love to all the 60s fans xx Jane
@@brianandlindafairchild1237This got me to thinking of all the things I’d like to have seen, experienced, and been present for. I could easily spend a lifetime living in the past. After all, that’s where my memory’s are.
Very nice. Memorable. It all happened in 1966. The sixties was unquestionably the greatest decade for pop, rock n' role, and R&B in human history, and I was fortunate to be part of it. Would you believe?
About 6 weeks ago I was in the Co-Op and this song was playing over the speakers. I vaguely recognised it but couldn't place it, and typing in ba ba ba ba ba, ba ba ba ba ba to the Internet unsurprisingly returned thousands of results. I watched a film tonight called 'Flirting', which was set in the mid-60s. This song was on the soundtrack! I shazamed it and here I am!
I was a senior in high school and in a band (who wasn't)when this song was charting on AM radio. Every band played it along with Wild Thing. What a great era, the 60's music singers and bands will be remembered forever.
I had the pleasure of seeing The Troggs live on a sixties revival tour a few years back with Reg Presley and original guitarist Chris Britton. Only a 25 minute set but superb and very memorable. They played all the hits of course.
Hard to believe it's been 10 years since losing Reg.. Love is still in the air...RIP Reg...This is my childhood music.. We knew we could never be the Beatles but the Stone's, Kinks and the Troggs yea we can do this and why I learned drums.. Love is all around you was one we did for the girls and the reaction was always the best!! We would end up with new girl friends after that song..lol it's written in the wind, Oh, everywhere I go, So if you really love me, Come on and let it show...Amazing band...
never forgot that song but could not remember and voila after 40 years got it; heard in socialist Poland in the end of 60's...and heard only 'pa pa pa' ...and now see it was ba ba...aha! cheers!
