The Troll Hunter (Trolljegeren) - SuperRune VFX Shot Breakdowns 

This movie was seriously awesome. THE BRIDGE SCENE though just amazing! Spooky stuff! I freaking love it! Outstanding work!

They're all over the place here in Norway. You have to take magic mushrooms to see them, though, they exist on a higher frequency than our eyes can normally pick up...

This is a movie someone like me can watch all the time

@Frankydoesitalso There are some good books on VFX supervision. I would read up on the subject or get in touch with someone with experience before attempting complex CG shots. The cost would be anything from a cheap car to an expensive car, depending on the complexity and amount of shots :)

This is the weird Part about them xD @rubenmanssens Because from what i always heard in the Past, is, that when a Troll goes into "Stone-Form", to protect himself from the Sunlight, it's not deadly. It's like with Gargoyle's, too - the Troll's Body goes back into the Flesh-State when the Sunlight goes back at Evening. That's what i always heard when i was small about Troll's, but in this Movie, they DIE like Vampires, from the Sun. And i was like " umm Wtf? xD " : )

@elemekutuna I'm a one man company. I wouldn't say I'm a specialist in anything, especially not rigging, but I've been dabbling with most of the areas in 3D over the years...

Let's say a room full of spiderlike creatures that attack a bunch of soldiers, how would I prepare filming such a scene and how much would a person like you cost? or is thatd ependend on the ammount of shots?

I think that troll when it was eating that sheep that sheep was in pain so that troll put it put of its misery so it won't fell no more pain

They've passed the Norwegian borders now so we're pestered by trolls in Sweden as well. It's a pain in the ass!

Yes The Troll blows up. In Norse legends Trolls can not be in the sun or they die. In the movie they use UV light to kill trolls.

I really like troll design and the movie. The only things I didn't like were the big noses (really big right) and the three headed thing. He was weird.

Whoa... I don't know where you're from, but huge noses -that's more or less what defines a real traditional scandinavian troll! Also, trolls with more than one head isn't uncommon if you live in a troll-infested country. :)

i changed my sons nametoo wringlefinch legally and my wife divorced me! lol sike. but ha what if that was someones actually name...man this movie rocks i hope they make a second one, dont understand the whole ending part when the cars were driving towards the, its like they were trying to run away on feet from the cars like the people in the cars were going to shoot them i dont get the last 10 seconds of the movie...uploader please explain
