I still think you should've done Throgg for this campaign, he is the Troll King, after all. Would you consider doing a video on the Dark Elves eventually? A Black Ark Corsair only challenge with Lokhir is both fun and viable!
Agreed, and I like that SFO comment, but I played as him and found him pretty mechanically dry and boring. Grom feels better to play just because he's from a later DLC.
@@additionalstupidity playing throgg but with only skin wolfs, I would love to see a campaign which you play a lord but pick the worst units for that lord (example - Grimgor but goblins only, or ghorst boy but no zombo's allowed. like play the complete opposite of what trends and the game wants you to play)
Starting off with Troll meat is very Troll. As Trolls EAT EACH OTHER. Plus, due to the fact they regenerate so fast. Eating a bit of Troll, for them, isn't so bad. As for Grom, he won the Goblin Lottery and didn't explode into Green Gobbo Bits, after being forced to eat Troll meat. Yes, people, for those do not know, Grom got so chunky, is because he ate Troll Meat.
I don’t think grom was forced to eat the troll meat, he just couldn’t be bothered cooking it and ate it raw. He was a big eater before the troll meat and that was why he managed to survive, along with a large amount of luck as well
@oliverjenner9251 These are Green Skins we are talking about. Orcs will do anything for a laugh and forced the Gobbo to eat Troll meat. Thinking the little guy would just explode. Well, Grom proved them wrong.
Funny how CA made up Grom's lore for this game. Grom is a gobbo, and the reason he's so big is that he ate a piece of troll meat that kept regenerating in his stomach, causing him to bloat. Nowhere in the lore it says anything about him being some kind of gluttonous sous chef that loves to eat.
This reminds me of my current play through as Ghorst and fighting Grimgor, let me tell you the hardest fight I fought here. Primarily zombies and a handful of tier 2-3 units
I have two ideas for challenge runs 1: Can you beat the game with Silver Helms only 2: Can you beat the game with Shades only These campaigns have an extra layer of tedium because there's a bit of RNG involved due these units requiring specific Lord traits to get the best out of them and Legendary Lords can't get these traits. For the Silver Helms they only need a Princess with the Dashing trait, but you can buff them even further with a Handmaiden or Noble with the Crushing trait. For the Shades they get buff from three Revered Names of Power: 1: Bardstorm gives all ranged units a slight range buff, ammo buff and damage buff 2: Grey Vanquisher gives Shades an armour buff, melee attack buff and reduces their upkeep 3: Shadowdart gives Shades a massive range buff, +2 rank and fear By the way you can cheese the run by using the Save/Load feature for Lords/Heroes if you have enough Lords and Heroes saved from other campaigns who have the desired traits although the Dark Elves are going to be on the expensive side because they need to reach rank 10 to unlock it's name of power.
So thanks to a new mod, you can give Throgg mostly trolls and only trolls. Trolls with axes, trolls that hurl guant stones, norscan ice trolls, chaos trolls
I am wondering what would happen if you play as Throgg and vassalize a Greenskin faction then start recruiting their version of Trolls? Can the green skin trolls receive Throgg's buffs for his norscan trolls too? Also, there is something so off about Grom Why did he start his campaign in a region where he has no suitable climate around?? I know it is because they wanted to keep him near Ulthuan without actually putting him on Ulthuan but this does not make any sense that he has no suitable climate around In Warhammer 2 I did always go to the badlands and abandoned the starting location Because going into Ulthuan as a greenskin is pointless because you won't find any green akin over there to confederate and everything you meet is enemy
Dogs try not to form a congo line instead of moving to the designated spot in settlement battles challenge (impossible) There's a specific moment that is ingrained in my head from a Festus playthrough I did. I was using my chaos hounds to backdoor a settlement and instead of running from the intercepting halberdier unit, they formed this completely unnecessary line before moving which got them caught. Settlement AI is legitimate torture.
At about 6 minutes. The hill is a over steep terrain. So the chariot has a lowered movement on it. That means that grom picked the "Fastest route" to where he wanted to go which did not include the super steep hill. Making use of terrain to your advantage is important.
Its still beyond stupid to go all the way around since thats not even faster. You cant make use of your terrain in a freaking siege battle...you never even have options to prepare on what terrain you fight on outside either. The whole point sounds nice in theory but is entirely senseless in this situation.
If only we had an actual troll legendary lord for the Greenskins. Why not make Chief Ugma into a Greenskin Legendary Lord? We all know he hates Greenskins but still... He could give bonuses to all troll units down to the River Troll Hags at the cost of upkeep costs to Orc and Goblin units. He could specialize in both Trolls and Giants and the monsters of the roster, buffing them and the like.
This is probably gonna sound stupid but I wanna see a campaign where you kill everything else on the map ik it would be a ridiculous task and take forever but it extremely appealing to me ill probably be looked over :p
Video idea: Only initiating wars against AI, which are a certain amount of Strength Rank above or below your own (+/-5/7/10 or something) (Perhaps even forgoing doing any aggressive attacking against too low AI if they declare against you - only defensive action in your own territory). Combine with a mod that gives a bigger/full map vision to better facilitate the finding of new war declaration targets. Maybe Be'lakor with his portals might be good for that to allow better movement across the world (later on). Or Wood Elves with their Big Tree travel? Or Beastmen simply for the chaotic nomad theme?
@@additionalstupidity Throgg, called the "King of the Trolls," a Grom, known more famously as Grom the Paunch or Grom the Fat of the Misty Mountain, was not only the largest and most powerful Goblin. Just because he ate troll meat dont make him a troll. So come again clickbait?
Grom has regeneration. Grom is also dramatically larger than any other goblin in existence as a direct result of his consumption of Troll meat. Figure it out or don't. I'm not going to spoonfeed the answer to you.
@@additionalstupidity He is a goblin. Being big and regeneration doesn't a troll make. Stregoi are big and have regeneration they trolls? Waz has regen powers and is larger than most orks he a troll now too? Lol so is mario a dragon because he can breathe fire? You have nothing to spoon feed because your wronglol
