Your videos are a real blessing, your taste in music is superb. They really made and make me play bass a lot more, which is just great. Thanks for that and pls keep on doing that great work :^) Greetings from germany!
I thumbed up before even watching it, because, how could you not?! Also, today I learned that I've been noodling this opening riff an octave low my entire life, making it much more challenging :)
Do even seasoned bassists experience pain in their fingers while playing such songs? I tried 'Hallowed be thy name" on my friends bass for 2 minutes and my fingers were paining.
@@LeoBassCovers2 I never thought of this... I never tried to practice using a pick... I always feel clumsy with one. Maybe it would be good to get better at it, I don't know ^^;
Thank you a lot for that cover Leo, I've been quietly waiting for it! 😊 I also loved to see that you also can't resist to sway your leg during gallop. 😁 BTW. Do you plan to also cover Fear of The Dark in nearest future? Best regards, hope you're all good!
Thank you! That must've been quite the wait then. I'll be honest, Fear of the Dark and Run to the Hills are on top of the list right now. And from there, I'll hopefully have time to focus on other Maiden songs
It's not really easier, but it's the right feel, since Harris plays it that way. I'm practicing Trooper and Phantom of the Opera using two finger gallop, it also makes your regular alternate plucking a lot better.
Absolutely nailed the tone. Even without flats (I presume). That Warwick is a tone monster. Great basses!. Nice! Funnily enough I was just starting to learn gallops by way of Fade to Black . I'm trying two fingers. Are you using 3 here?
@@LeoBassCovers2 okay, I thought of pull me under because I like Dream Theater, I'm a very big Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Toto and Metallica fan and more.
Thank you! I have done some covers that were almost entirely slapped, but I can't say that I'm very good at it. Primus is usually wayyy beyond me. but who knows :)
@@LeoBassCovers2 i hear you, but if you ever do get around to them, the toys go winding down would be great since it's one of their simpler ones and sounds epic
Hey man, believe it or not but this cover was actually recorded with the Marcus Miller bass. It's just that my channel has an 'image' and so I will always use the Warwick or the Fretless for this channel. If you really want to see me playing the Miller Jazz bass, you can watch me play it on my RED BASS channel :)
I've been through a lot of tutorials. Thank you, your rock ! (I really should learn to play the strings like a real bassist tho. I never had lessons so, yay youtube, I'm going for it) If I had your tutorials earlier in my life I'd be a pro bass player. Thank you again, it's not too late to enjoy it !
It is has to do with prioritizing really. The tempo icon in this software is quite a bit higher than the rest of the tabs so that would mean that a much bigger part of my bass has to be cut off from the screen. That's why :)
since I know this on guitar, now I can learn this song on my bass, WITH A PICK! :) (I am not kidding I like playing bass with a pick lol even though I still use my fingers)
