We breed Deer 🦌 here for Americans to come over and make one shot with a well bred 12-20 pointer stag. Just so they can hang the head up. Makes some lovely salami what they don’t worry or care about. They just want to wall mount the head or antlers. But in saying that over here they are becoming as bad as rabbits and possums. Educate yourself. The exorbitant fees that these hunters pay in Africa goes a long way towards the preservation and conservation of the species as a whole. In fact, it's NECESSARY to have people come and hunt them for very high prices because it puts a high value on the animals in their villages. Having value means the people in the villages have an economic reason to protect them from poaching and to keep the populations healthy and thriving. If the hunting is stopped, the villagers won't care about the animals anymore. Use logic, not emotion, when you form an opinion on a subject. The fact that you seem to hate those poor villagers makes YOU despicable, and probably racist.

People who kill animals for fun really give hunters a bad name. Hunters are essential in preventing overpopulation of animals adjacent to rural and metro areas. That’s why there are so many places in which it is absolutely illegal to go hunting outside of hunting season. Do it for self-preservation, for the safety of the environment, or don’t do it at all. That’s how I see it

Im a dentist, married to a dentist. We don’t hunt and don’t know any dentist that does, but fishing? That’s another story. This guy Larry Rudolph is an embarrassment to the profession. Even his dental ads were predatory.

Yep same. I'm actually repulsed by people that hunt for sport. People that hunt for food I have no issue with and I would call that a real hunter. Somebody that hunts purely for a kill thrill is just a trigger puller in my opinion. I get that sounds like a contradiction but it's just because I find those types of people really scummy. Also while Mike was talking about that, I was just thinking about the sport kill industry in Africa and how ethically messed up it is that some person can give you the authority to kill a certain animal and on top of that they get a large payout. In the sense that they get to choose an animal's fate and make a large chunk of cash in exchange. Imagine if there were smarter beings above us in the food chain and they could just pay one another a big chunk of cash and then they get to randomly kill any person walking down the street without people even being aware they're there and being hunted.

Exactly. Especially if someone is very familiar with weapons. I learned gun safety very early in life and always practice the basics everytime I'm handling a firearm, which is everyday. I never had an accidental discharge. Not saying it's impossible but these folks were experienced hunters, so it just seems unlikely.

One of the partners in a oral surgery outfit I used to go to in Philadelphia used to go on Safari with a 35 mm camera. The photo books were in his waiting room. Plenty of Carnage courtesy of the Predators like a spotted leopard dragging an antelope carcass up a tree. Excellent photography.

Poaching is the real evil. Trophy hunters are only allowed to hunt carefully selected animals that are either too old to breed or hunt for themselves, sick or so aggressive that they kill cubs and calves and endanger their own kind.

Getting dentures was one of the best things I ever did for myself. Bad teath & gums cause so many other horrible problems. Not to mention what ugly teeth do to one's look.

The dentists I saw would also kept pushing for pulling teeth because they would “bother (me) as I grew older” 😭 didn’t pull the out!! 10+ years and still no pain or complications 🤔

Meanwhile my mom has been asking for this procedure for YEARS because pregnancy sucked all the life out of her teeth and they are all brittle, broken, fake etc. Nobody will do it. We live in Canada though, so idk if that makes it different.

My dentist is lazy and quire possibly insane. He keeps asking me questions that require more than a yes or no answer, while his fingers are in my mouth. If I answer him, I'll bite his fingers off. The man's a loon.

Am sure he knew that. We only solve corruption cases but murder cases are sure as hell not our strong hold and I highly doubt it will ever be. That is why every time i hear police say they are investigating murder or rape I always find myself asking "Investigating with what?". And don't even get me started on cold cases. We don't even have departments to cater to them.

Absolutely agree. If you have lived with firearms for decades, you would instinctively not do that. It's hard to explain to people that have never been around firearms. But at the risk of sounding rude. It would be similar to forgetting to wipe yourself. I don't believe there is enough evidence to convict in this case though. It will be very interesting to see what becomes of Larry. Did he get away with murder? What does his mistress know? I hope Mike does a follow up someday.

The money that comes from big game hunting in these countries saves more animals than they kill. They're only allowed to hunt specific animals that are carefully selected for elimination due to old age, disease, etc. When properly managed, the revenue generated from trophy hunters goes back into wildlife conservation and does end up benefiting the animals more than people realize. In all seriousness, poachers are the assholes that need to be stopped because they are the real threat to wildlife

It's called 'canned hunting' because the wild animals are captive-bred to be slaughtered by these super-rich sadists, and they are held in fenced enclosures with no chance of escape. It's neither hunting, nor is it sport. The safari drivers deliberately take complex, convoluted routes to give the totally false impression they are in wide open wilderness with freely roaming animals. But that couldn't be further from the truth. The animals have been pre-ordered by the wealthy 'trophy hunters', so they are placed within the enclosures to be 'hunted' (ie found) by those who paid to kill them. They are shot like fish in a barrel. It's hard to imagine anything more cowardly or despicable.
